i love Rose McGowan and i love Rosario Dawson but Rose, i have to say, wins in my mind. also im into the whole sci-fi thing so planet terror fit me better. but i do love death proof too. i think rodrigeuz and tarantino did an awesome job on this movie!
if didnt like Death Proof, you dont understand the films of Quentin Tarantino. Yeah sure you can say it all just a bunch of girls talking for an hour and a half, but there's more to it. Did you all hate the opening scene of Reservoir Dogs? Are you gonna tell me you hated the long monolugue of Christopher Walken in Pulp Fiction? Tarantino includes these long monlogues to build up the action. He takes you by surprise that way. Look at Death Proof. All that talk led to the action packed final car chase.
i agree. i liked planet terror but death proof was more watchable. i love violence but planet terror was just a little to gross. death proof had an awesome climax and was also funny in some parts.
Wow, this is amazing.
Planet Terror was the the shrimp cocktail appetizer served before the 32 once porterhouse that was Death Proof. It was the Monkees opening up for the Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1966.
While entertaining, I found PT to be lightweight and rather underwhelming. The "not so special effects" proved to be a cute novelty that wore out its welcome halfway through the film.
Death Proof didn't rely soely on a campy retro vibe to get it through. The story was interesting, the acting was on point and the car chase at the end was one on the best I've ever seen. I throughly enjoyed this movie and cant wait for similar efforts from Mr. Tartantino.
I liked both, but Death Proof sort of had me under the impression that Taratino is getting a little too pleased with himself. His trademark loooooong conversations about oldschool pop culture and philosophy are wearing a little thin now.
I really love the second part of Death Proof. The first part was more boring, but the second group of girls were alot better. Still, Planet Terror is a little better.
