One thing that I’ve noticed is that there are a TON of articles about the original trio, but there are hardly any about Bella, and the few articles there are mostly use old and inaccurate information… Here are the actual facts about Bella, using all of the information that I gathered over the course of the first 10 episodes of season 3!
Family
Not much is said about Bella’s family, all we know for sure about them is that her father is a professor, and as a result she has moved around all her life (She hasn’t gone to the same school 2 years in a row!). As of episode 10, we still have not seen her house or her family, which makes me doubt that we will at all in this season (fingers crossed for a season 4!).
Becoming a mermaid
Unlike Cleo and Rikki (and Emma too!), Bella has been a mermaid since the age of 9. This puts her with about 8 more years’ experience of being a mermaid than the other girls, but it seems that she is not significantly more skilled at it due to this advantage. Emma travels back to Mako Island where she finds a mysterious necklace at the bottom of the moonpool. The risks associated with Cleo's new job at the marine park give her friends cause for concern but Cleo's determination to lead a normal life helps convince Emma to set aside her own concerns and go ahead with her annual sleepover party. Lewis experiments to determine what will change the girls.
