Twilight VS. Harry Potter War

I thinks it's funny how all of you 'Twitards' can't support your argument at all. You have no fact except your opinion, which, in fact, isn't a fact at all. Harry Potter is better than Twilight for many different reasons.
1) Harry Potter has a plot. No, it might hurt, but 'a vampire and mortal falling in love' is NOT a plot. It's just a filler for the author so that she can trick you into thinking her books have plots. When a hint of a plot finally arrives, it's tacked onto the end as if it was added because the editor also thought the books had no plot.
2) Harry Potter is better than Edward Cullen. Ed may be 'perfect' and 'amazing' and 'beautiful', and Harry isn't, but that's the reason people love Harry better. Nobody should like reading about a perfect person because no one is perfect, and they are so boring. Ed has no personality, while Harry is a well-rounded, fleshed out character with FLAWS. Giving characters flaws is something Smeyer seems to struggle with.
3) Bella Swan is NOT a role model, Hermione Granger is. Bella is a naive, selfish, superficial, and dependent girl with no knowledge of how the world really works. According to her, it's okay to leave beind your friends and family as long as you get a perfect vampire husband! :D Hermione is someone people can look up to. She kicks ass!
4) Harry Potter actually HAS a good editor. Twilight is so full of basic grammatical errors, inconsistencies, spelling errors, and plot holes. It's obvious that editor had no clue how to do her job. You can go through all seven Harry Potter books, and you'll be lucky to find ONE spelling error.
5) The characters in Harry Potter are realistic. Don't give me that crap about how wizards aren't real, because I'm talking about personalities. The Harry Potter characters all have their strengths, weaknesses, flaws, good days, and bad days. They're people that real people can relate to.
6) JK Rowling is a better person and author than Stephenie Meyer. Jo has donated to charity, started her OWN charity, hasn't broken down when her books were leaked, and she still manages to keep it from going to her head. She's richer than the frickin' royal family, and she keeps her feet on the ground and her head out of the clouds. I admire that woman, and what does Smeyer do? Sit on the couch all day counting her cash while her douchebag of a brother Seth makes sure that 'dear Stephenie' doesn't get any hatemail.
7) Harry Potter has sold more books. Twilight will never catch up with Harry Potter in book sales, I just don't think it's possible. Harry Potter has sold over 300 million books, and Twilight has sold how much? Like, 30 million?
8) Jo needed her book sale money, Smeyer didn't. Jo was a single mother, basically homeless, and writing on napkins in a cafe when she first started out. She needed the money, and she did great. Smeyer had a husband to support her and didn't work.
9) Villains. The Volturi cannot be called villains, no matter what Bella thinks, because they AREN'T! Voldemort and the Death Eaters could kick their asses to Pluto and back during their morning tea. Voldemort actually gets shit done, while the Volturi just sit around thinking of ways to 'better' the vampire world.
10) Ron Weasley is a better best friend than Jacob Black (who is a complete rip-off of Sirius Black, but that's for another time). Ron is stubborn, average intelligence, and is sometimes not very happy at getting refered to as the sidekick. And he isn't in love with Harry, XD! Ron is just an all around better person, and best friend, than Jacob.
There you have it, folks. If I feel like it, I might post another ten, but this should be enough for right now. I don't want to rupture the -6 IQ brain the average twitard has. :D

well I love TWilight (I do, really, I'm crazy abt Edward:D)..but the thing is...every1 may have their own opinions but for me I can't understand how Twilight could be compareed to HP at all..and when it is HP wins HANDS DOWN!

Twilight is a GOOD book - its an AMAZING book (only twilight though, im not too fond of the series)...but the thing is..HP is NOT JUST A BOOK - HP is like a PHENOMENA!

-amazing book with an adorable and perfect guy, EDWARD CULLEN (i think 80-90% Twilight fans luv it becuz of Edward!)

-No word...HP is just HP!
-if any other book (like twilight) is an addictive, HP is MEGA ADDICTIVE...its so MAGICAL! it makes u believe in MAGIC!

one point I should mention is: Im a sucker for Romance..I cant read ANY OTHER GENRE (i've tried mystery suspense, but I just cant find interest)...so I cant read ANY other book than romance..
-saying that, only HP is the ONLY "magic, general kid's" genre book that I not only read but became SO ADDICTED TO...I don't consider HP a book...HP is like this childhood companion I grew up with, my fav books may change, but HP IS IRREPLACABLE! HP's place can JUST not be taken!

-HP is for EVERY1 - every age, males & females both whereas Twilight MAY be read by every1 but it has only a specific target reader (teen - young girls)
-HP has been translated in more than 65 LANGUAGES! more than 40 M copies! < -- that's not sumthing MANY books have achieved to do, and def. not twilight!
-even after abt 2 (or 3) years after the series has ended, each of the HP book is still in the best seller's list! & mark my words even years later it still WILL BE on the best seller list..

I don't want to get too much on specificly why HP is just incomparable, becuz its facts prove it is..

I won't say HP is BETTER than Twilight..Becuz Twilight itself is an amazing romance book...but HP is a PHENOMENON..writing wise Twilight crazy lovers MAY say Meyer is better - but the fact is that her writing's too predictable, too simple, sort of liek a fanfic writer...JK Rowling has a mature, professional, STYLISH writing style, which is so full of surprises that u can spend DAYS racking ur brains and when she throws the surprise at u u wud be like "WOAH- WHO CUD'VE THOUGHT OF THIS?!" AMAZING style!! luv it!!

so...I wudnt WANT any HP vs TWILIGHT war...i know its been going on since ages...if twilight is compared to any other book i wud pick twilight HANDS DOWN...but the thing is..HP has dun such a magic on its fans..that even if v WANT TO..v just CANT choose any book over HP..its like a part of our heart that we can't ever let go of or replace or make it fade away...

I LUV hp...& im sure I speak for all the millions of die hard HP fans when i say that HP is more than JUST a book for us...I spent half my life reading HP...waiting for more books..thinking abt whts going on in HP's world..I felt a PART of the HP world...HP has EVETYTHING - magic, Hope, faith, Belief in the Good, Good Role Models (Hermy), Amzing story line (with amazing SUB story lines), UNFORGETTABLE CHARACTERS (Weasleys,Dursleys), AMAZING VILLAIN (Snape(?) Voldemort)..

when I read the last page of HP - I still remember that day and shudder...I sat there in a shock like 15 mins..i Just cudnt believe that this was it...i still can't...& still find myself thinking of wht wud be happening with HP..but all good things hav to cum to an end i guess...HP will always rule my heart!

I absolutely agree with Freds-Lover. Harry Potter is everything that Twilight will never be.

I don't feel like typing out anything right now, I'm tired. But honestly, Freds-Lover said it all.

I have read both series and ejoyed them bot enormously. i became addicted to twilight for many diffrent reasons than i loved hp. im not going to say twilight is bad, because honesly im fixated with it but harry potter has a lot more depths, story lines, mytery and twists. twilight and hp are both worlds you can lose yourself in completely, but twilight because you want to be in it and hp because when reading it you Are in it. im tired and all. but i love both but no book can capture such a wide audience in just about the same was as HP can. i didnt fall in love or particularly want to be any of the hp charactrers(like in twilight) but maybe that just proves how amazing the hp books are when you love to read them not just because of wanting, or being jealous of something but just loving the writing and story. im devoted to both but HP wins hands down each time. and freds-lover has it right especially regarding what the writers do with their fame and money. just shows how much of a writer they are. id say read both, but concentrate more on hp
