This article was NOT written by me. I found this somewhere else as a comment and thought it was great and that it should be shared. Don't give any credit to me. I just copy pasted.
First of all- Harry Potter isn’t just a childish bedtime story. Nor is it shallow. A story based off a single dream has no depth. Twilight fans will never what kind of man James was before he turned vampire. Rowling, however, spent 15 years planning every little detail. She created a world within our own for her witches and wizards. She has based their heritage off of real mythology and history. Their spells are in a dead language and they have organized governments with strict laws. She has followed her characters’ stories from childhood to graduation and many times to their deaths. One of the best things about this series is that you can study these intricate details. The Twilighters can only argue about who Bella will marry. In Harry Potter, there are arguments over everything from Snape’s loyalty, to the cryptic meaning of Trelawney’s prophesies, to petty ship-wars. This article was actually wriiten by an ex-twilighter(iloveyoudarling), not me, and i dont like the way she wrote it, cuz it is kinda rude, but i posted it so that maybe some twilighters here could consider giving harry potter a chance because the article proves that even though you love twilight there COULD be a better book out there:
Dear Twilight fans,
I was you one day. Addicted to Twilight and couldnt ever stop reading it even if i had already read it 4 times. But trust me on this one will you. READ ANOTHER BOOOK!!! AFTER YOU DO THAT TWILIGHT WILL SEEM LIKE A STUPID ROMANCE STORY.
After I had read Twilight saga about 8 times i read Harry Potter.
And all i can say is whoa!!
1. harry potter has a plot line that has never been used before.
2. twilight was a very easy read. simple sentences. i could write it
3. harry potter uses some imagination.
4. if edward wasnt sexy, everyone would be creeped out by him

Warning: This is quite long.
Before I begin, I would like to say that this is my personal opinion along with evidence to support my opinion. You are free to disagree with me, but please, no hating. Also, please do not accuse me of not reading the books. I have read each of the novels in the Twilight "Saga", from Twilight to Breaking Dawn. I have also read all of the Harry Potter books (numerous times), from Philosophers Stone to Deathly Hallows.
It annoys me enormously, hearing people say that Twilight is better than Harry Potter. I personally believe that Harry Potter overshadows Twilight in every area, in every way, shape and form. I look at reasons why Twilighters think that Twilight is better than Harry Potter, and here is what I see:
-Because Edward is so hot! Harry is ugly!
-Twilight is more realistic!
-Twilight has more love!
I do not think that a book is amazing just because a character is gorgeous. In fact, I think that the fact that all the good guys are beautiful in Twilight is really arrogant and reflects very poor things about Stephenie Meyer. In Harry Potter, you have some good guys that are beautiful and...
