Old twilight fan writes about harry potter

I don't mean to be rude, and I do agree with you, but some of this is rather inaccurate. Harry Potter has a plot that's never been used before? Actually, the basic plot is a relatively standard one for modern fantasy. I don't mean to say it's bad, it's a plot that gets used a lot because it's a good one, but it's not exactly original. Twilight only appeals to sappy teenage girls? That's quite an assumption. Yes, that's a large part of the fanbase, but there are adults who like Twilight, and some boys. And for the record, not ending with a fight is not nesecarily a bad thing. There are tons of good books that don't end with fights, even fantasy ones. And while it can work, ending with a fight is sometimes just a way out of writing a good ending. (The battle in HP was very good, though.) I don't mean to offend anyone, it's just some constructive criticism.

I think i can relate to you(iloveyoudarling) in a way. I think if i had read twilight first, i would have love it and think nothing about harry potter. Sure after i read twilight i was like 'WHOA'..HOT!!..but even when i said those words Harry Potter was still number one in mind cos i read it first, and plus it was just the best series!! And even though i thought twilight was COOL i never touched it ever again. Dont know why! And that goes for the rest of the twilight saga! I read them and liked them but never read them again..(I still dont know why)And ive got the whole series stacked up my shelf, untouched. Unlike Harry Potter i read them over and over again.

Mrs-Grint, i have "seen" u before and u said the s. meyer's head thing before some people can get very offended by that and think bad of u (which i am sure is not true)
though i have 2 admit, i love twilight, but harry potter was good (i just love romance)

I actually agree with her opinion, but I think all articles should be critiqued based on the writing, not if you agree with them. Plus, I think HP fans are sometimes kind of unfair to Twilight.

I'm sure you're reffering to the part where an orphanage boy who is said to have power to defeat the Greatest Dark Wizard of all time?excuse me,but I think she's reffering to the WHOLE plots & including the SUBPLOTS inside it.How many story have u read titled Harry Potter which has Trolls,Giants,Raging centaur,froglike face woman become a tyrants,half-Giant Game Keeper at a school,non-wizard called 'muggle' mocked as 'mudblood',three 17 years old drop out school to search for parts of an Evil Wizard's soul,a 13 years old managed to produce Patronus to fight 1oo Dementors at a time,something called Priori Incatetam,a 12 years old killed a giant snake which can kills with a single eye-glance?and the lists go on..

yea,the Hp fight was awesome.Yea,Twilight has no ending fight.
So,HP is more adventurous like some Twilight fans claim did not.
and just u know,ending with a fight is a good way of writing because the main characters inside it fight & sacrifice everything for theirs' & beloved ones' future.Happiness can be obtained by hardworks.I'm sorry but whats the point of gathering all vampires clans around the world just to have a cosy talk about a baby girl.They could have just record their videos or statements to prove Nessie wasn't guilty.They are wasting the clans' past times.
