I've been having many heated discussions with my friends Shalayna and Grace about Harry Potter vs. Twilight. Shalayna says,"You can't compare the two", and Grace says,"They're completely different." But it got me thinking: Why do so many Harry Potter and Twilight fans compare the two books? And is one really better than the other?
Ever since the start of literature, people have been comparing books. Maybe we're just naturally judgmental? The great Harry Potter vs. Twilight debate started, in my opinion, with The Chronicles of Narnia. When the Chronicles of Narnia came out it was possibly the greatest fantasy series of the time. After that Lord of the Rings came out which was also a fantasy series. These two books were most likely compared to each other. Then many years later, Harry Potter, another fantasy series, came out. People began comparing that to the Chronicles of Narnia AND the Lord of the Rings. Then Twilight comes out, also a fantasy series and people begin to compare it to Harry Potter. It's a constant cycle and pretty soon another fantasy series will come out and it will be compared to Twilight.

I started reading the hp series when I was 12.
My grandma bought me the 1st book for Christmas.
As soon as I finished it I instantly loved it and re-read it about 4 times! I became obsessed with collecting the entire series and eventually obtained all seven volumes. Why I love Harry Potter so much is J.K Rowling really transports you to a different world with her style of writing. There is so much detail and realism in her writing that whenever I read the books I am compeletly engrossed in the Harry Potter universe. Another thing I really love about the books is the characters are really believable and are extremely easy to fall in love with. I especially love the relationship between Harry and Ginny. I like that even through they are really meant for each other that they are able to let each other go for a time but still end up 2gether in the end! I also love the relationship between Harry, Hermione, and Ron. I like that just are really loyal and genuinely love each other as friends. That is why I love Harry Potter!! Hype has caused quite a few fake teaser posters, such as this one, to pop up online.

So as everyone knows, pretty much everyone in the Harry Potter fandom is on edge awaiting the much anticipated release of...the Half Blood Prince teaser trailer. Seriously Warner Bros, is a little over a minute of Half Blood Prince goodness just a little too much to ask for? Considering that the last Harry Potter film to be released in November, namely the Goblet of Fire released on November 15, 2005, had its trailer debut in April. Now considering that Half Blood Prince is to be released November 21 of this year, why is WB taking so long to release a short teaser trailer? And which film will it be released in front of? Here is a film by film breakdown of possibly where the Half Blood Prince trailer will surface at.
Prince Caspian (May 16): This film was highly rumored to have the trailer in front of it and it seemed like a prime candidate for the trailer considering how both films are from the same genre (fantasy). This was debunked though upon the film's release.
