Everyone hates us

I've seen that too(the 'one' ratings). I don't hate H/G or anything, I just think that its odd. All of a sudden, Ginny's beautiful, popular, etc? I think it's a very superficial relationship. I didn't want him with Hermione either though. I'm not sure what I wanted! ;)

It just really annoys me is all, it seems people keep bashing certian things Jkr wrote like Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione because their opinion is different like in some spot they write "DEATH TO GINNY" or "I wouldnt mind Hermione dropping of the planet" and "Ron's a loser". You can read all the creepy fanfiction you want just dont bash JKR's writing and characters.
Cause in the Harry Potter world what JKRowling says is law!

yea i think opinions are just that, opinions. and they can be stated, but it doesn't mean you need to go around and give low ratings to stuff that is against your opinion. if you don't agree with it, don't bash it. just move on =)

iLove, I agree! Suddenly Ginny is the girl that every guy wants... what's up with that? It does seem superficial. And I didn't want him to get with Hermione, either. I couldn't think of the right girl for him.
fawkes716, yes, I know that what JKR wrote is law, but I just don't agree with some of it. It's like she wanted us to like H/G but I just couldn't really find a good reason to. I definitely wouldn't write "death to Ginny," etc. And just because a relationship isn't canon doesn't mean it's creepy!
Obviously what we say here isn't going to change anything. We're just expressing our opinions with people that feel the same way we do.

OK, the thing about H/G for me was that I felt like that relationship was kind of forced and thrown at me. Suddenly Ginny is beautiful and popular and Harry wants her. OK, so then they get together and it seems very superficial. I love R/Hr, and that's probably because it was built up over time, you know? It's like, they were really good friends first (whereas Ginny was never really great friends with the trio except during the summer) and then they realized they had feelings for each other. What I'm trying to say is that even though I've read the books more than once, I just can't seem to like H/G, and it's because Ginny suddenly transformed and it was sort of hard for me to believe.

Oh, yeah, I think that those ships are creepy too. I thought you meant H/Hr and stuff (which I don't support, but I don't think it's creepy, either). Hr/Snape, though... *shudders*

Thanks, I understand why you dont like it it was too sudden, I think that the reason I like it is because Ginny is my favorite character and that she is Rons little sister. And to me Harry and Ginny not being together in the end kind of throws the story off a bit. Although there were many hints of there relationship especially in the 5th book.

i totally agree with smoore23!! And i don't think harry should've ended up with hermione cause she was meant to be with ron, but if ron wasn't around i wouldn't mind that. And truly if you don't like it you can say what you think of it but don't break everything down and i agree with you on the "i hope ginny dies" that's not very nice and i definitely don't want that. But i get that some people may get angry in the heat of the moment and say things that come out all wrong! ;)

I think a better spot for everyone who didnt like the relationships in the book would be like a Non-canon spot rather than just an anti-harry/ginny spot. That way more people could contribute rather than just non harry/ginny fans.

but we wanted a place just for us so we created it and we're happy with it. you're welcome to explain your opinion in the forums as long as you do not criticize our opinions. you like h/g, we don't. we're fine and respect your opinions, so it would be nice if you could be respectful of our opinions as well.

Agreed. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who don't like R/Hr, for example, but love H/G. If there's a specific H/G spot, I think it's fair that there's an Against H/G spot.

My favorite Charater is Ginny and I am a huge fan of the Harry/Ginny relationship, and all this is starting to make me really angry and sad. :*(

Then my suggestion to you is don't come to this spot. If you're annoyed by what we say, then don't read what we've written.
I, for example, am a huge R/Hr fan, but I don't get angry and sad when other people have different opinions than I do about that relationship.
It makes sense to come to this spot only if you're against H/G. If you're for H/G, then I don't understand why you keep coming here. We aren't going to change our opinions to change others.
I'm sorry if this is coming across as rude. I'm just tring to show that everyone has different opinions and I think it's best if (for the most part) people stick to the spots that apply to them.

Hate spots are never good but if you have an opinion about something just leave it in a mature way.

(also don't post fan art that has been defaced (ie. scribbled over) and credit the fan art)

I think it's a mature way to express ourselves! It's not like we bash them or anything! Opinions are just that, opinions. I really don't want to go into this any more than I already have. And it's not a "hate" spot. We are all very respectful of everyone else's opinions, even if we don't agree with them. We'd appreciate it if everyone would be respectufl of us as well.

Ok, where did you want me to put that picture, hmm? It's common ground for us - all of us here don't support H/G. We don't all support H/Hr or D/G for example. I wanted a picture that represents all of us. It was a fan art that had been added to. In fact, I think you should listen to your own advice - if you didn't like that picture, fine, but don't come to this spot complaining about it. Just leave it. I do appreciate, though, that you didn't give it a 1 just because you don't like it. :)

It's a "hate" spot, you hate the pairing. I'm not attacking you for feeling like this.

You can NOT under any circumstances deface someone elses artwork, that is the worst thing you can do. My own advice? my advice is don't deface someones hard work they put into trying to make a nice picture. Art isn't easy so for you to take something, scribble over it and not even attempt to credit in the slightest for the original image is extremely wrong.

You don't like trolls (i gather that from your avatar/icon). Trolls are bad people that do unkind things...what you have done is an act of a troll. Taking someones art and not crediting is what a lot of trolls do, mostly they will say they did it. But i think defacing out weighs that.

OK, I'm still not going to agree with you that it's a hate spot.

But I do understand what you're saying about the image, and I'm sorry. I think whoever did that drawing has a lot of talent, and it's a great picture, but I just don't agree with it, ok? Disagreeing with its message doesn't make me a "bad person" - it just makes me someone who is in the minority of HP fans. I went back and gave it credit - at first I didn't because I just saw it on Google Images. But I went back to find its source and now I've given it credit. I don't think that what I've done is trolling. I hope others can back me up on that. I bet that if you were against H/G you wouldn't think I'm a troll. To me, a troll is someone who goes to a spot they don't agree with and then bashes everything about that spot. For example, someone goes to the Harry Potter spot and adds stupid answers to the picks like "Nobody cares, Harry Potter is lame" or something like that. I just don't think it's your place to tell me what trolling is.

Well, I now am in a bad mood and I feel like a horrible person. You're accusing me of being a troll and now I'm sad. I honestly do not think that what I did was trolling. If you don't like the image, fine, but please don't call me a troll. :(

Anyway, I'm getting sick of having to back up every little thing I say or do. So yeah, I'm sorry that you're upset about the image, but it's the Against H/G spot, and it's a picture that's against H/G, ok? I really don't want to argue about this anymore.

I agree with snerkie. Defacing that really good drawing is wrong. I just come here so I can try and understand why you guys are against them.By the way, what exactly are Trolls? Cause I'm thinking about the ones in HP.

Go to Urban Dictionary for the definition of a troll. It's basically when you give stuff really low ratings for no apparent reasons or just say mean things about a spot on that spot's forum. I think you'll see that what I did was not trolling.

what the heck is up with everyone, how old are you all? I don't belong to either spots but I think calling this person a troll because of the image to a site that is titled against H/G usually means just that if your against smoking would you not expect a picture with a line through it.

the "smoking" graphic with the line isn't some ones personal artwork that wasn't meant for defacing. If you did a piece of art and posted it would you want someone to scribble over it? That image could be copyrighted and then you definitely in no way can deface it like that.

smoore23 you can't just say "sorry" you have to change the image to something that isn't some ones art work.

Now I think I am just getting annoyed not by how you dont think Harry and Ginny should have been together cause you have your reasons but how many people absoluetly hate Ginny and wish her to be dead! She is my favorite character and the amount Ginny bashing in a lot of peoples comments on various spots is getting ridiculous!

Ummm....I don't hate ginny, I just hate the coupling of g/h and wish they had ended up with different people. I do find that Ginny developed much to quickly for my liking, but she developed into a strong, independent female character. There were some traits of her's I did not like such as her disrespect for family sometimes, but other than that her character was all right. Is she my favorite? No, but I don't wish her to be dead. Is she one of the character's I wouldn't have minded getting killed off in HP7? Yes she is, but she's not and I don't wish that on her anymore after doing my research again and realizing how much she developed. She did develop too fast for my liking, but she became strong and independent. I do understand she is your favorite character, but she can't be everyone's favorite character and I hope that you can accept that and realize people probably will go on bashing her. I, for example, love the character of Hermione for she is smart and has a very interesting character development. When people bash her though, I don't get ticked with them and say they are ridiculous. I just say that I like her and move on with my life because seriously, it's no big deal. People are entitled to their own opinions. We have our's and you have your's. You just deal and move on, because this isn't really a life changing problem here. I hope you understand and stick to your opinions! I respect you for them! =)

The picture is symolic. It's not that I don't like the artist's work, it's that I don't like Harry/Ginny. And since they haven't filmed the seventh movie yet, I don't have an image of the actors, so this is how it is for now.

I think that a reason people dont like Ginny is because they didnt get to see her character develop like Hermione's! Hermione is a great character in the books especially with her relationship to Ron, but for some reason her character in the movies is a little annoying and I dont know why.
ps.Do you know if there is a Shawn and Jules(psych) spot? I thought there was but I cant find one.
