Heroes vs X-Men: Characters' Powers

i love x-men and that was why i initally started with heroes! so glad you wrote this! :D

I would say that Candice is more of a shape shifter like Mystique

Gambit VS the guy with the bomb (I can't remember his name)

and hiro vs nightcrawler (both can teleport)

oh and apocolypse vs sylar? it's kind of a strech tho. :D

I too originally thought of Candice as a shapeshifter, but remember when Micah tried to escape the apartment? Every time he opened a door (or ran down a hall?) he ended up in the same place. So she has the power to change the external environment's appearance...and thus is more than a personal shapeshifter like Mystique.

Wasn't Eden the name of the girl who had the power of persuasion?

Yeah, I guess she's the one with persuasion. Candice makes you see what she wants you to see. I combined both categories and forgot to re-add Eden's name. Thanks for pointing that out.

Refresh my memory: when did the Haitian exhibit selective blocking? He has a secondary ability of memory wiping, which is selective, but his nullification field seems to be on all the time. Isn't it?

I saw this one guy in one comic...his code name was Detonator I think, and his power was to blow up at will. And still live. I think that's kinda like Peter and Ted in a way, but not really. And this is great, I've been making these connections all along.

And X-Men so PWNS :P But I love Heroes anyways.

She was the one who lived across the hall from Mohinder. Plus a whole lot of other things (power to suggest, killed herself so Sylar couldn't) but that's how I primarily remember her. Looked kinda like Audrey Tautou (from Amelie).

I must say when I first heard of Heroes I thought it was just a knock off of X-men, and after watching it I come to realize I was right.

I mean its a great show, and it doesn't have the same feel as the X-men did. ok I'll admit the powers are Parallel not Copied as I first thought, and 'omfg, wtf, ftw, and all the others' Stan Lee being in the show, greatest thing ever :)

Major problem with Season 2 though...and this proves its a knock off...ok so the "Shantee" virus stops the powers of a person is capable of killing said person... and in the future it infects the General population as well. Now to the X-men,
The "Legacy" Virus stops the mutants powers and slowly kills them, until it mutates itself forming "legacy 2" which still prohibits use of power and kills the mutant, just in a different way, finally it becomes "Legacy 3" which can infect and kill regular humans, however a cure is found before any real harm can be done

come on, they can come up with a better scenario than that, how about a Regular vs Powered war...oh wait thats Marvel too...oh wait the Government makes a Super Hero Registration Act and Starts a Civil War between the Heroes...lol ok all said and done I love the show

i think "Heroes" could be an earlier time before the X-men. Bcos Xmen is based in the future and Heroes is based on the present day. So maybe the writers of Heroes did this deliberately. Who knows? Maybe Matt could be Xavier's grandfather?

I am a die hard x-men comic fan and I think all of the x-men charactors would school the hero's cast. that is just because I am a really big comic book fan.

the similarities really are becoming TOO obvious now:
-the whole sylar/peter/nathan thing=vulcan/havok/cyclops
-cyclops is a natural leader whos always in control of his powers and the eldest brother- same with nathan
-havok is the powerful younger brother, sometimes losing control of his powers- same with peter
-vulcan is the long-lost evil brother with immence powers whos name is also gabriel- sylar

and another similarity i discovered recently Mr Bennet is just like henry gyrich... both have got the rimmed brown glasses and no powers and both were involved in some way with capturing mutants, they even have the same hairstyle!

ahm!!well i relly like this movie..both HEROES and X-MEN...
i've watch heroes but the first season only..it's sad bcoz i can't look for the tapess of the 2nd and 3rd seasons..
for the X_MEN it so cool and fantastic.

It's awesome but if u saw season 3 of heroes you can remember that there were 4 prisoners were mr bennet worked and the episode when sylar was about to attack the prison 4 more powers they mr bennet introduced the prisoners to claire and one of them who had glasses had a similar power to magneto
So u should check that out ;)
