Everyone in the show thinks Peter is going to blow up, which means the audience thinks he's not. That's why I think they're actually goign to do it with Peter.
I agree with rodthemod , that will explain the scar. And Peter did say something about someone protected him and let Sylar be the scapegoat.. but that was five year later before they changed the future....maybe at the end new york wont blow up...now i'm confused...... >.<
Since the present has been changed, I guess the future might have to change too. I picked Peter because I'm confused but I still hope he's not the one!
I am a definite believer that the bomb WILL blow go off and blow up New York. Peter seen himself blow up and he has the power now, he met Ted last week and absorbed his power.
On the "5 Years Gone" timeline, it's clear that it's Peter that blows up the bomb, not only because he admitted it, but it explains the scar. Future Hiro asked Hiro if he killed Sylar, of course Hiro said he didn't, but I think it's Hiro and his sword that sliced Peter along the face, and it's his regeneration that got him back together, but only so far, the only reminence is that big ol' ugly scar. And because the world is lead to believe it was Sylar not Peter that blew up NYC, Future Hiro believes it and all... I dunno.
I'm not one for all this guessing :p
But this theory is only on the "5 Years Gone" timeline, until something definitive comes along (in which I think it will in this 2 episode finale), I still say Peter, but the change will happen and YOU KNOW NYC won't get blown up.
I hope they stop the bomb after all this effort, but if they don't, it'll give them plenty of material to write. If anyone is going to blow up NYC, I'd say it would be Peter.
