I need a translate to normal English - it´s a story about creation of Hollywood´s name. It´s in a "bad English" and I don´t know what it means: "I up sunrise. Old trees fall down. Pick up wood. All time haully wood."

I have no idea, what he wanted to say, so please, can someone write the "right" sentence?

Here is full paragraph:
They came across a Chinese man driving a rickety old wagon. Asked what he was doing, he is said to have replied in faulty English: "I up sunrise. Old trees fall down. Pick up wood. All time haully wood."
I think he wanted to say holly, but id doesn´t make sense to me :/
