Hello fellow motherheads,I have- as I have made quite clear- a couple of issues with this spot and the way things have been posted lately. As much as I love people adding content: The medal whoring is aboot to take over. People probably won't listen to me but I will write this anyway in order to avoid an active gastric ulcer. 1) Spoilers! I am not only spoiler free but also promo free! And I know a lot of others are,too. What I ask you is the point of putting "SPOILER: XYZ WILL DIE" in a title????? Just put "spoiler" and no hits or the actual spoiler. It defeats the PURPOSE of a spoiler! Watch your description. When your mouse moves over the link title the description appears even if you don't click on it. We have a spoiler forum USE THAT! Stop ruining it for everyone else. 2)Keywords It's IMPOSSIBLE to search anything on this spot..the keywords are disgraceful. DON'T TAG IT IF ITS NOT IN THE PICTURE! You don't have to put 10 keywords but put the necessary ones AT LEAST! Don't tag "full episode" just cause its an available keyword. Don't tag every frigging character of the show IF THEY AREN'T IN THE PICTURE! 3)Shipping Videos We have the Marshlily spot and most importantly the Bobin/Brotp spot. We have a Barney spot a Ted spot etc You dont have to add everything twice. I dont ship Bobin- I dont ship at all so I dont care for shipping videos yet my updates are full of them. Im not opposed to shipping videos but if i took an interest I'd be part of the Brotp spot. Put them where they belong and leave the rest of us alone. 4) Being reasonable Be reasonable in what you add! I have spammed the spot with working episodes when I found that most of them were broken. That happened once and i apologized :P But don't add stuff cause you're bored or a medal whore. Instead become a Twilighter where you can do that and people applaud you for it! Spam other spots! Go crazy! Better yet: Make a spot aboot yourself! Get a red medal there! Just please don't do it here! Want to know how it's done? Look at Saul_ Mikolunias contributions. Now this may sound a little biased cause everyone know we are friends and all that jazz. But honestly you can't deny: it this woman's contributions rock! And I noticed that before we were friends- back then we were merely fellow motherheads. She adds for other fans not for herself and thats what makes her contributions good. |

I do find myself being guilty of some of those things every once and awhile. But I do try my best to post quality stuff, and not spam spots.
I really hope that more people spend time thinking about this stuff. And I've seen some of your articles and posts on other places and I think you're doing a terrific job trying to improve fanpop.

A)It is all very true, sensible and makes sense.
B)It is well written by an awesome person.
C)It compliments me =D
D)I dont think I actually have a d or an e but I said five reasons..
E).......The layout, spacing, bold etc makes it look pretty =P

Sometimes I think medals are a bad idea. I love HIMYM, but I feel like maybe no one would think I'm a die-hard fan because I don't have a medal. And I can assure you, I've watched every episode from the first 4 seasons at least 10 times. S1 & S2 maybe 50 times. If people want to medal whore, I would at least appreciate them doing it for things they are actually fans of. Don't come in and steal medals for spots you only mildly care about.
