Hello Fellow Motherheads
This is a guide to the Fanpop Himym competition. It all started out when Gemmy (Germany123) pointed out that while How I Met Your Mother was on it's summer break, the spot was pretty dead. Not much content or discussion. Anyway, after we discussed it, I decided to come up with a few forums that would hopefully help kick start us Himymers into action and keep the spot going until we got new episodes. At first we thought there would only be one or two of us but now there have been more so I am turning this into a proper competition!
Basic Idea
You have to mention sopmething to do with How I Met Your Mother on another spot.....but it has to be sly! For example, here Germany123 made a reference to Himym and while most users reading that would think that she had perhaps gone a little crazy, us Himymers know exactly what she is talking about and probably laughed as we read it.
Rules
It has to be sly while also relevant to the content. For example, you can't go onto the travel spot and say "But what aboot the pineapple??" There has to be a relevant link. Like here germany makes two references to How I Met Your Mother, in the comment, which was on a pick asking aboot Pirates & ninja's. Relevant link, yet also sly.
Entries
As this has now become an official thing, it will happen once every two months. I was going to say once a month but i don't think that gives people enough time, there is only so many references that you can fit in! Anyway, you can enter up to three things for every contest. Whether that is a comment or a pick that you have made, that is up to you but between the 20th & 24th of every month, you should pick your favourite three and write in the forum, which three you would like to put up for voting.
Voting
Voting will start on the 24th of every month and will be open for 6 days. I will make a pick, with everybody's entries and it shall be on the Himym spot. You can't vote for your own entry however people who have entered can still vote for others. After the 6 days are up, the winner will be the user who subjmitted the entry with the most votes. If there is a tie, there will be a sudden death, where the two suers who are tied will be entered into another pick.
Prize
Every user who wins the competition will receive a prop (from probably more than just myself) and will also receive a fan art made by myself saying winner of Jan/Feb contest etc.
Confusion
If there is any confusion or any questions, feel free to ask me. I realise that this is slightly more complicated and confusing than it should be but I think it is the only way to make it work.

chances are it will actually happen on the 24 or 25..so..today is the 20th?21st?
