If Stella is the mother, why does future Ted refer to her as Stella when talking to the kids when he has always said "your mom". I would be ok with Stella as the mom, it's funny, part of me wants an answer and part of me likes that we don't know. Have seen every episode since beginning and it ranks as one of my all time favorite shows ever.
