The group of adults met in the hospital’s kitchen. They grabbed a circular table. Cal was sitting next to Bones, who was sitting next to Booth. Cuddy was sitting next to Booth, and House was sitting next to Cuddy. Foster was sitting next to House, who was sitting next to Cal. They ordered lunch; the girls got a variety of salads, and the guys got big, greasy hamburgers. They discussed the case as they ate.
    “How’s Kathy?” Cal asked.
    “She either has AIDS or a common cold,” House replied, eating some French fries....

Excerpt:
House walked into Wilson’s office. Wilson was sitting at his desk, doing paperwork. House sat down on Wilson’s couch. He banged his cane against the floor. Wilson looked at House, waiting for him to say something. House didn’t, and the two friends sat in silence. A couple of minutes passed, and Wilson asked,
    “How’s your patient?”
    “Fine, sort of. She’s getting stitches, so I can’t do anything.” House replied, and Wilson confusedly nodded.

Cal and Booth’s eyes bulged out as they stared at her. Bones and Foster pulled them out of their fantasies and dragged them into the office.
