It was so obvious he wanted Cuddy more than Thirteen. Since he didn't immediatley apologize for saying it like he did with Thirteen. Because it's how he really feels :D

Huddy really isn't scary. Cuddy is very nice, and whats more, she and Cameron get along very well. Cameron ships Huddy too, meaning she is truly happy with Chase and I have taken a liking to Cameron and realize that if she were with House, she would end up with her heart broken. Cuddy is a strong woman and is the only one capable to stand House. This doesn't mean that she won't get heartbroken, because all us Huddies know it will happen, but we also know it won't be the end of Huddy.
House and Cuddy understand each other's pain. They are both broken and miserable people. As Wilson said: "You two deserve each other." Just like Cameron understands Wilson's pain (with marriages and things like that). She doesn't really relate to House, she just wants to fix him, or at least she used to. She understands that Cuddy is the better candidate to do so, and this is seen in Unfaithful, and Cameron is happy that way- with House & Cuddy together. I don't know about you, but I like Cameron happy.
Cuddy has been there for House through practically everything. They have a history together, having had sex 20 years ago and even though it obviously did not work out back then, look at them now! They are still having bantery conversations, laughs together, they truly care deeply for each other and love each other. They enjoy each other's presence, just sitting or standing next to each other in episodes like Act Your Age and Ugly. Cuddy has risked her job, something that she worked for for many MANY years and her reputation to save him. Can you imagine all those years of med school, of studying, of work, of learning to administrate- she sacrificed ALL OF IT many times.
Not to mention MASSIVE ammounts of money that you and I would only dream of having! She gave it all up for him. As for him, he listens to her- not always medically, but he takes her advice as shown with the wearing of the sky blue shirt she loves for his date and Words & Deeds where she tells him to talk to Tritter. He is very protective of her, as shown in Insensitive when he tries to get Don away from her and when he asked PI Lucas if he would back off from taking Cuddy. This whole season he has been trying to get her to see him in a different light, ever since Adverse Events. He keeps her secrets, like the IVF injections, he keeps them from WILSON- his BEST FRIEND whom he tells EVERYTHING to.
Many of their decisions are irrational, such as Cuddy risking EVERYTHING for House and House risking his job (which is everything to him because without it he's screwed) by doing things such as practically stalking his BOSS and her date and in Living the Dream, he told her to call the cops on him, meaning he would not only lose his job, but go to jail as well. Instead, she tells him that if the patient dies, to call her so she can pack her things. She refused to do what he told her to. You can't tell me that both are not irrational, right? Which brings me to my final point:
Love is Irrational.
I know this may not convince you, but there are many other things. Please consider this. Please. And if it's not too much, I'd like to ask you the favor of staying on the Huddy spot for one day, on Monday if you could. Please consider this and thanks for listening.

The inspector at the end says that what House did to cure they guy was a 'Bold move'
When Wilson tells House his plans to kiss Cuddy, House replied with:
