Taken from http://iceage.wikia.com/wiki/User:SNA/Memo/Facts I made this wiki article and the research as well.

Glaciar period

* the ice age period refers to existence of ice sheets, so technically we still live in the ice age because of their existence in Greenland and other places?

* that in Earth's history, there have been at least 11 ice ages?

* the last ice age was around 11,000 years ago and was called "The Great Ice Age", time where the films take place?

Creatures living during the Ice Ages

* that mammoths lived from around 4.8 million to 4,500 years ago?

* that sabre-toothed cats are usually called sabre-toothed tigers although they aren't related to nowadays tigers as there have been 2 main branches of felines, sabre-toothed ones and modern cats?

* the creatures thawing out from ice cubes in the second film couldn't have been frozen since when they lived no place in earth was capable to generate ice?

A few months ago, when I was new to Fanpop and the third movie was just released, I had written an article concerning the supposed fourth movie called "Ice Age: Th4w" (if you don't know about it, read here http://bit.ly/23fjCb), this time, I want to write a shorter article about this.

Yeah, well, we did see a good new chapter in the story in Ice Age 3, but the first question a fan thinks is "Will there be another Ice Age movie?".

Truth is, 20th Century Fox also wondered that as soon as the first and second ones were released, and this time, a month before Dawn of the Dinosaurs was released, rumors started spreading on the web about a fourth film called Th4w, the Sub-Zero Heroes are frozen in a museum in the 21st Century and thaw out in the modern world.

The question here is, is this true? It'd be impossible to know it unless Fox announces it, but these are the facts:

* Ice Age movies have proved to be commercially successful around the globe, each movie has made at least 25% more money in theaters than the one before, and Fox obviously likes this.
