I looked at a few of the other versions on youtube and the 2006 is the best in my opinion. I just really, really love Mr Rochester. Toby Stephens = perfection! And Ruth Wilson is probably my favourite Jane too. I especially loved their chemistry. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I could melt it's so good!

No worries :) I can recite parts from memory and if I am watching, I can say the lines on cue.

I love all Jane Eyre films, I've seen them all, but I think, without hesitation, that Jane Eyre, the 2006 miniseries has been the best of them all. Ruth Wilson is brilliant as Jane, but Toby Stephens is, simply perfect as Edward, he gives the character all the qualities that, I think, Brönte had thought of. But of course, then again, Toby is the son of Maggie Smith, so, need I to say more?

lol dont worry-- ur not the only one. i never read the book or even heard of Jane Eyre before seeing the movie. i was actually skimming channels and i like british comedy so i went to the channel that usually had it. the first thing i saw was a little girl screaming about a red room and 5 mins later, i was hooked. i saw it again in 2007 after forgetting about it over the previous yr. an aquaintance had been quoting her fav movie so i decided to. i am now the only person i know who likes the movie enough to quote word by word of almost the entire movie :D.

phew, srry about that long paragragh lol.
