Mr. Reno is one of the most under rated actors in the business. It must be very difficult for an actor like him to get from Point A to Point B. How many good scripts are out there that are really being pushed my major interests. Look what they did in the USA to The Big Blue. The American editors chopped it up so back that it looked like speghetti when they were finished with it.
It is easier to write a script for a thriller/horror film, and that keeps the real talent from developing further. Take a look at what the average person said about No Country for Old Men or Broke Back Mountain. The opinion of the average person does no coincide with the opinion of the hype.
Then there are artists like Jean Reno. He is one of the greatest artists of our times in an art form that does not have his standards.
Enzo, Enzo, Enzo!!! I bet he would much rather play parts like the diver than the hit man; maybe he likes both equally well. It sure must be hard for an actor like that to find the right script.
