John Mayer Painting for charity....

healtheplanet posted on Mar 30, 2007 at 04:47AM
Hello...I am new so please take it easy on me...

I am a huge John Mayer fan and I heard about this famous artist, McKenzie, who painted John and is dedicating 100% of the profits from the sale of the prints to charity.
The Grammy Foundation. It is gorgeous!

Here is the link to the website: http://www.mckenzieartstudio.com/JOHNMAAYERPAINTING.html

The original painting is on Ebay for around $13,000, too!!
Search "John Mayer McKenzie art" and you can find it.

Let's support the charity with John...and get a nice print at the same time...I did!

Here is the info from the Grammy foundation website regarding John's involvement:

GRAMMY SoundChecks provide young people with a glimpse into the realities of music careers by inviting them to attend rehearsals and concert sound checks of major artists. Students engage in conversation with the artists and their touring staff about the specifics of their careers and the necessary preparation for success. GRAMMY SoundChecks have featured a host of artists including: Babyface, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Coldplay, the Dave Matthews Band, Destiny's Child, Macy Gray, Billy Joel, Jack Johnson, Juanes, John Mayer, No Doubt, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, U2 and Kanye West, among many others. Production pros, tech crews, tour managers and other behind-the-scenes professionals have also participated to provide additional insight into the broad spectrum of careers available in music.
