i think she is funny and she breaks the tension, although sometimes she does create tension...your on crack she contributes to making the show interesting...and who would you want to take her place?? also it is so great when kathy griffin guest stars with her they make a hilarious duo

I agree with AZDoll that the show would be much more enjoyable if Joy left the show....I am so sick of her condescending put downs on parenting towards Sherri and Elizabeth...who does she think she is?
Her statement to Sherri that it is "child abuse for her to not teach Darwinism" is just crap...and Barbara Walters..."shame on you" for not checking her on her big ignorant mouth all the time...if she wants to be sacrilegious so be it but have her keep her opinions to herself...And way to go Elizabeth for telling her just how rediculous she sounds...but that is just putting it mildly!

Occasionally Joy hits the nail right on the head when many times the other's don't. She can be very spontaneous, but she needs to understand that, those who think they're funny, usually are not. She thinks she's funny because she waits for the audience response. Negative commedy, ie. those who rag on others, turns me off. To me she appears to have a massive ego with a "know-it-all" attitude, which I find abrasive and also detracts from her humor. However, "The View" would not have the high ratings if it were not for controversy and her type of "big mouthed" personality. Sort of like Rosie O"Donnell. Think of her what you will, but she brought those ratings up! "View" watchers thrive on controversy. Personally, I enjoy Sherri Shepherd's wit and her charming personality, but again I don't think it's the "Sherri"s" that drive the ratings...
