Oh..ok so I have no clue where this is going...and I think that's not really a good thing! Let's see where this goes...hehe
j_b End of Chapter 6 "Pearls..." She said again, then her face light up. "I might know this one." She said as she ran up the stairs to her room, returning in mere seconds. "Esme?" I asked. "Pearls Edward, the finest pearls found." She said as she held out a necklace that was almost exactly the same as the one I held in my hand. "Where did you get this?" I asked as I stood up next to her. "Well I got it from Carlisle, but I researched it when I wanted another string." She said as she turned to smile at Carlisle. "And?" Rosalie asked. "They are only found in Indonesia, this color and clarity is only found there." She said as she smiled...proud of herself. "Everyone go pack, I will make arrangements." Carlisle said as he opened his cellphone, dialing the airlines. Chapter 7 I stood there listening to Carlisle talking to the airlines, he was asking to book seven seats to Lombok, Indonesia. Apparently there was no flight that went there directly, that we would have to fly into Bali, but would be able to book passage onto a boat to get to Lombok. Carlisle looked at me, thinking about making it in time...we HAD to make it there, and hopefully find the next clue before.....I couldn't think the worst. "Go Edward." Carlisle said as he looked up the stairs. I nodded as I ran up the stairs into my room, stopping just inside the door as I remembered all the places where Bella had been. I went over and gently touched the couch, my still heart breaking into a million pieces. "Edward?" Alice asked as she walked past my room. I turned to face her, not bothering to try and keep my emotions from her. She knew this was tearing me apart, I knew that she wouldn't judge me because I was falling apart. She walked in, wrapping her arms around my shoulders..hugging me tightly. If it were possible I would be crying, but it wasn't possible..no matter how much I wished it were. Alice pulled back, looking at me for a minute as she thought about how terrible I looked. "Thanks Alice." I said as I turned to grab a bag, stuffing clothes into it as fast as I could. I grabbed my passport and turned and grabbed a wad of cash out of the dresser drawer. "Edward." She said as she grabbed my arm, stopping me as I was about to walk past her. "You have to believe that we will get her back!! Don't give up, she needs you. Please thing how scared she must be, we have to find her..." Alice said, her voice cracking slightly. That stopped me dead in my tracks, I needed to stop thinking about how much this hurt me...how hard this was on me. I sank to the ground, my knees giving out underneath me. Alice made no attempt to stop me as I sank to the ground...she stood, watching me with such concern in her eyes that she had to know what I was thinking at that point. "Alice." I said as I raised my head to look at her. "I'm sorry Edward, but we have to keep Bella's being alive and being found as our number one priority." She said as she knelt in front of me. "We have to use this anger, use to keep going..to keep searching...to keep....playing this game" She said through gritting teeth. "I hate this game!!" I yelled, not caring how stupid that might sound. "We all do, but we have to play to find her. I can't see her....no matter how much I look there is nothing...just darkness." She said as her face crumpled. "We have to get her back." "We WILL get her back." I said as I stood up, realizing we needed to be going. "Come on Alice, we'll go get her back." I said, suddenly sure of myself. She took my outstretched hand and stood up, balancing on her tip toes like a tiny ballerina. She hugged me again before she took my hand in hers and started laughing. "Alice?" I asked as I watched her. "Take my advice, don't sit by Emmett." She said as she walked out of my room, pulling me along with her. We walked down the stairs and found everyone waiting for us, Emmett looking from the laughing Alice and back to me...wondering what was going on. "I don't know either." I told him as I started laughing. "O...K." Carlisle said as he looked at all of us. "We are flying into Bali, the flight leaves in an hour...please tell me everyone has their passports and id's?" Everyone nodded and Rosalie said something about 'Us not being children.'. Carlisle just shook his head at her as he opened the door, waiting for all of us to walk out before locking the door. I ended up riding with Emmett, and Rosalie in Emmett's Jeep. Emmett kept trying to get everyone talking, but by half way to Seattle he realized it was pointless and just focused on driving...and holding Rosalie's hand. I did my best to ignore their thoughts because they were either about me and how I was handling all of this, or about their significant other...and that didn't help me feel better at all. No one else said a word until we pulled into the parking ramp, parking next to Esme, Carlisle, Alice and Jasper. Alice got out and winked at me before grabbing Jaspers hand and started running into the terminal. "What is all that about?" Carlisle asked as he stood next to me. "I would rather not sit by Emmett if possible." I said, believing in Alice's visions. "Alright." He said, confused about why I would ask that. "Just something I was told to avoid." I said as I smiled and started walking after Jasper and Alice. We picked up our tickets at the counter, showing all of our identification and passports. They asked if we wanted to check our luggage, but none of us brought much so we declined, going to get in line to board the plane. "I'm sitting by you and Jazz." I thought as I stood next to Alice, knowing she would hear me. "Good call, who is?" She wondered. "Rosalie. They ended up with the two seats in front." "Oh my God, this will be fun." She said as she tried not to think about what she saw. "Not going to show me?" I asked out loud. Jasper turned and gave me the strangest look, it took me a second to realize how that must have sounded to everyone else. I started laughing so hard that I had to double over, realizing what I had said. Alice started laughing with me, as she wrapped arm around Jasper..kissing him softly. "Nope, just for that." She said as she laughed. "You two were thinking again weren't you?" Jasper asked. "Yep!" Alice said as she started walking into the plane. I went to sit in the far window seat, closing the blind as the sun began making its way into the plane. Alice sat in the middle, smiling as Jasper sat on her other side, his hand sliding into hers. I realized that I was doing my best to not think about Bella, but when I saw Jasper lean over and kiss Alice on the cheek....I suddenly was flashing back to our memories. The way her hair smelled, the way she blushed at the littlest thing, her smile, her eyes... |
