Alright…hmmmm Taken. Let’s see where this is going to go. Will they be together!?
I know….I’m EVIL. But if I told you all what was going to happen you would all yell at me for ruining the story. Luv j_b End of Chapter 50 “Bella, you’re alright.” Eric said as he moved closer. “What scared you?” “I had a dream, it was so real.” I said as I remembered the look in Gabriel’s eyes in my dream, he looked so happy that he found me. “It was too real.” I said as I tried walking, realizing that for the first time in…I don’t know how long it had been. It was relatively easy to walk, my head only slightly throbbing. “How do you feel?” Jen asked. “Ummm I fell fine, well my head feels funny, but I can walk and that’s good.” I said as I smiled at all of them. “Well you should take it easy.” Mike said as he looked out the window. “Huh…strange.” “What?” I asked as I walked over to where he was standing, looking out the window. "Jason brought someone back with him." I had that horrible feeling, where your stomach drops out. I didn't need to wait, I didn't need to see who was in the car with him. I knew, I don't know how or why but I knew that whoever was in the car with him was not what they were pretending. I knew that I had to get away, that this would be my chance....possibly my only chance to get away, to get to Edward. Chapter 52 I grabbed the phone as I turned and looked at Eric, thinking of so many things that I wanted to tell him…but couldn’t because it would break the rules. He watched me as I grabbed a sweatshirt and started for the back door. “Bella?” “I can’t stay here, I know who is with Jason.” I said as I turned and walked past him. “Bella, you can’t leave.” He said as he reached out and stopped me with one hand. “Eric, I can’t stay here. You don’t know what will happen if……..if I let..forget that. If it is who I think it is, they will take me away. I don’t know what will happen to everyone else, but I know that it will not be good. Please don’t let them know where I went.” I said as I turned and smiled at him. “I will do what I can, go Bella.” He said as I ran past him, running out the back door. I stopped where I was as I looked around and tried to figure out which way to go, this was so my luck..I knew that I had to get away, but while doing that I would only get myself more lost. I was about to start crying when I heard the phone ring in the pouch of my sweatshirt. I scrambled to get it, hoping that it was Edward, I finally pulled it out of my pocket as it rang the third time. “Edward?” I asked, praying it was him. “Bella, you have to get out of there now.” Edward said, the worry obvious in his tone. “They’re coming here, aren’t they?” I asked as I started running, as hard as that was. “Bella, where are you?” Edward asked. “I just ran out the back door, I had a dream….Edward it was SO real.” I said as I shivered thinking about the person in the front seat, which made me move faster. “Then Jaspn came back with someone in the truck with him. I had to get out of there before they took me again.” “Bella, where are you?” Edward asked again. I thought about how to explain this to him, that I had no clue where I was. Everything that had happened, but I noticed that he was silent for a long time. My heart started pounding in the fear that he was no longer talking to me. I stopped and leaned against a tree as a dizzy spell hit me again, sending the world spinning at uncomfortable angles. I felt like I was about to either pass out, or vomit or a lovely combination of both when I heard Edward start to growl through the phone. “Jasper not now.” He growled, the sound causing me to get goosebumps. “Edward?” I asked as I closed my eyes, wishing the world would hold still when I opened them again. “Bella, love where are you? Do you know where?” He asked quietly. “I don’t know, I was asleep when they brought me here. Edward, they are going to hurt Mike and his family, they helped me and now they will all be…” I cried as I thought about how I had put all of their lives into danger…my body shaking from the sobs that were building in my chest. “Bella,” Edward said as he cut himself off. “Bella, I am going to…we are going to find you.” He said, the word we causing me to suddenly have more courage and energy. I started walking down hill, hoping I was going the right way. “We’re at the edge of the forest, keep running down if possible. Do not stop, keep moving Bella. I will find you.” Edward said as the phone suddenly got fuzzy. “Edward, I’m scared.” I admitted as I started moving down hill, the ground littered with trees that had fallen recently. “Bella, don’t be scared. Please know that we will be there as soon as possible. I love you.” He said, my heart pounding just hearing him say that. I reached down and found my energy, pushing myself as I climbed over trees running when possible so that imagining that Edward was just around the corner. “I love you too.” I said, my breath loud since I was running. I pushed myself further then I should have, I went around a bank of trees and felt myself falling. I did my best to not fall but my body was giving out on me. I leaned against a tree, tears running hot down my cheeks as I felt myself giving up. “We will stay on the phone, talk to me Bella.” Edward said as I tried to move again, my legs shaking so hard I could barely stand. “This is hard, the ground is so uneven.” I said as I f froze where I was, the sound of footsteps getting louder behind me. “Edward, I hear someone.” I whispered. “Kepp moving Bella, please don’t stop.” “Edward, they’re catching me.” I said as I moved slowly, the sound getting louder behind me. I knew I shouldn’t turn around, I should keep going….but my fear got the best of me as I turned and saw someone walking in the shadows. “Bella love, please keep going. Don’t let your fear win.” He said, proving how well he knew me. I heard someone talking to Edward, but was doing my best to keep going and ignore what was going on that end of the phone. I had just climbed over a log when I heard the steps getting louder, I knew that I had to run if there was any chance of getting away. “Bella, we know where you were. We’re not that far, please keep going. “ He pleaded. “I will get you love, please for us keep going.” I was about to say something when I heard footsteps coming from both in front and behind me. I hoped that they weren’t just circling around to surprise me…to get me again. I turned and saw someone running at me, a scream escaping my lips as I heard footsteps from behind me. I was about to give up, to just let these people take me away when I heard a growl that I would recognize anywhere. I turned and saw Edward a few steps behind me, Alice and Jasper quickly moving up along each side of Edward. He reached out and grabbed me by my waist, pulling me behind him as Alice moved to block me from view. “Bella.” She said as she turned and smiled at me. “Oh Alice.” I said as I felt the tears spring from my eyes again. “Jasper, thank you.” I said softly. “Bella,” Jasper said as he moved to stand next to Edward, blocking both Alice and I from view. I moved up and rested my head on her back, my tears causing her shirt to become instantly soaked. I didn’t care at that point, I wanted nothing more then to move and hold Edward, to wrap my arms around him and hold him so tightly that whoever was coming for us would not be able to separate. “Bella, are you alright?” Alice asked as she moved slightly, her arms wrappping around me so that I was supported by her arms. I wanted to tell her how I was feeling, that the blood was rushing through my head as I saw the world began to swim in front of my eyes. I was about to say something when Carlisle suddenly appeared next to me, pulling me away from Alice as he scooped me up in his arms and started running. I wasn’t sure where we were going, but didn’t have the energy to ask. I let the exhaustion and the concussion take over as the world faded to black. |
