The Return Chapter 2

YAYYYYY you seem to like it :) That's awesome! Here's the next oneEnd of Taken "Well let's take care of one little problem." He said as he raised one hand and five big men jumped on Emmett and Jasper pinning them to the ground, I could hear their screaming as they fought but with the numbers being not in their favor there wasn't much they could do. I moved to help them, throwing myself at the pile that held down Emmett. As I was about to launch myself I caught the thoughts of another that I hadn't heard in quite a while. I heard Emmett and Jasper yell my name, but was frozen in my place as pain seared through my entire being. "Well Edward, I sent Gabriel to get your sweet Bella...but you will work just fine." A sweet voice called as I saw someone walk around Gabriel's back. "EDWARD RUN!!" I heard Jasper yell, but was unable to make myself move because of the pain. "I think I will take you with us, see what your perfect family makes of that." Jane's voice called before someone threw something over my head and I felt myself falling, the pain never stopping...my only thoughts of Bella and what this would do to her, and how I would get back to her. Return Chapter 2 **Emmett's POV** We all raced up the stairs, my shoulder slamming into the door at the top as I led Jasper and Edward onto the roof. As soon as my feet his the tiles I knew that we were not alone, that there was something going on and it wouldn't be long before we found out what was going on. I felt myself lowering into a fighting stance and from the edge of my eyes I noticed that Jasper and Edward were doing the same thing, my fingers itching for a fight. "Well Edward." Gabriel's whiney voice called as he steeped out of the back of the group where he had been hiding. "I was wondering if you would come old friend." "We're no longer friends Gabe, I thought you saw to that." Edward said, his teeth gritting together from his anger. "What do you want?" "Well let's take care of one little problem." He said as he raised one hand and five big men ran over from the edge of the roof and jumped on Jasper and I. I fought against them, pushing and punching anything I could reach, but within a minute I realized that this was a fight I wouldn't win....and that made me fight harder. I managed to throw one of them off of me, but once he was gone two more took his place and soon enough they had me pinned to the roof. I looked over and saw Jasper in the same situation, his body being held down by a group of guys. "Edward, run!!" I yelled as a hand reached over and slammed my head into the roof. I tried to lift my head again to see what was going on, but someone shoved my face down each time I tried. "Well Edward, I sent Gabriel to get your sweet Bella...but you will work just fine." A female's voice called, causing everyone to go completely still. I managed to lift my head enough to see a small, female vampire walk out of the group that was standing near the edge. "EDWARD RUN!!" I heard Jasper yell, but before Edward could do anything I saw him freeze, a scream frozen on his lips. "I think I will take you with us, see what your perfect family makes of that." The voice called and as I watched they threw a bag over his head and threw him off of the roof. "Do what you will with these two....wait, no. Let them go, let them tell their family about this...it's a new game." She said as she laughed. I looked up enough to see her smile at me before she jumped off the roof, most of the vampires following behind her. The only ones that were left were the ones that held me and Jasper down and the one they called Gabriel. "Tell Carlisle I say hello!" Jane's voice called from the ground. "Gabriel, don't keep me waiting." She called as I heard car doors open. "We will meet again." He said as he walked over and kicked both Jasper and I in the ribs as hard as he could, laughing as he ran and launched himself off the roof. A few minutes later, even if it did seem like hours the men climbed off of my back, a few of them taking shots before they left. Jasper caught my eye and shook his head, obviously trying to tell me that it wasn't worth it to go after them. I slowly climbed to my feet, looking around and noticing that there was no one up here but me and Jasper. I got to the door and was about to pull it open so that we could head back down the stairs when the door burst open, Alice was standing there, her eyes wide with anger and fear. "Where is he?" She asked as Jasper and I looked at each other. "WHERE IS HE!!" She screamed as everyone else including Bella followed onto the roof. "I don't know." Jasper said as he went to her, wrapping his arms around her tightly. "What happened?" Carlisle said as he moved to the edge and looked around. "It was a trap, we came up the stairs and they were all waiting for us. They jumped Jasper and I, then piled on as Gabriel and Edward had words." I said as I brushed the sand and dirt off my face. "Are you ok? Did anyone hurt you?" Rosalie asked as she ran over and started running her hands over my body looking for injuries. "I'm fine." I said as I hugged her. "It was Jane." Jasper said softly. "She says 'hi' Carlisle." "Jane?" Carlisle asked, his face flushing slightly. "The one and only." I muttered. "Where is he?" Esme asked as she moved up, her arm wrapped around Bella who looked like she was in shock. "I don't know," I said as I hung my head in shame. "She said this is a 'new game.'" "Bella?" Esme asked and a minute later Bella was slumping to the ground, Esme's arms breaking her fall as Carlisle moved to check on her. "I have to go." I said as I turned and walked to the edge, about to throw myself off and go after them until I felt a hand grab mine. I looked down a growl starting when I realized it was Rosalie, her eyes pleading with me. "Let me come with." She said as she stepped up onto the edge, her hand wrapped in mine. "Wait for us." Jasper said as he and Alice walked to the edge. I was about to open my mouth to argue, but the look Alice gave me froze me in my tracks. I didn't have to be a mind reader to know that there was no way that she was going to be left behind. Everyone turned and looked at Carlisle and Esme who was supporting Bella's head in her hands as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Keep your phones on, and keep us updated. We'll take care of her, we'll get her back to Charlie tomorrow so he doesn't call the army." Carlisle said as he watched all of us. "We'll watch out for her, go get Edward..please." We all nodded, Alice hesitating as she watched Bella. A second later I jumped with Rosalie, Jasper and Alice following us a few seconds later, Alice running in front of us all as she stopped. "I don't know where they took him, we're going to have to run blind. I'm sorry everyone, I should have see.." She said as she closed her eyes and shook her head. "Alice," Rosalie said as she moved up and wrapped her arms around her. "This is not your fault. Just look when you can and believe we will get him back." Alice sniffled then nodded, a determined smile crossing her face. She smiled at us before she turned and took off as fast as she could, running after the cars that held our brother. |
