I think he looks more like a red panda.

No, Master Shifu is not a chinchilla. I know for a fact that he is a red panda. They are a lot smaller then traditional pandas like Po. So master Shifu and Po are acually related if you think about it. I think that's funny. But I am 100% sure that he is red panda

I also have had a hard time deciding between a red panda or a chinchilla but I have decided because of the tail he is most likely a red panda...just not the right color as he is white with a little red and red panda's are opposit. Also, his ears are wrong so while I believe he is a red panda he is not the correct look for one. I also have to comment that... red panda's and panda's are not related...at all so saying that Po and him are alike is not true in any way. :D Hope this helps
