Why has Bobby let himself go?

Sorry I haven't watched all season and I caught one new episode with Bobby. I noticed he has a full bushy beard. Is there a reason for it or is it because Vincint just wanted to? Any help would be thankful and props!

Well, I'm not sure of why but I'll give my opinion.
Goren has been through a lot lately: losing his mom, sort of losing his identity (who his real father is), his suspension... I think all those things kind a made him depressed. And he let go a bit.
In case you didn't know this, USA is airing the eps out of order. Nobody really knows why. But anyways...
"Playing Dead" was the first ep aired this season (season 8), and Bobby was a bit more of his old self again. He looked happier and he had shaved. So you see what I'm saying...
But on the other hand, he might have wanted to change his style... Though I don't think so, 'cause when Bobby started to "come back again"(slowly but surely-- I think) in "Playing Dead" which is a later ep (see my drift?), he shaved...

Hope this helps!:)

Yeah, it made him look like a big teddy bear, or my dad LOL. Yeah my dad's been growing a beard lately and the more I look at him, the more I swear he looks like Goren did with a beard.
