After "The Exorcist",Linda Blair's career is fall down. All because she as been "marked"by her role of Regan MacNeil. All people remember her only as "the possessed child in The Exorcist";but Linda acted in some other movies,but not very famous. In 1974 Linda starred in "Born Innocent",a jouvenile drama about life and abuses in reformatories. In the movie she as Chris Parker,a girl who gets raped by a group of girls in a reformatory.
One year later she starred in two other dramas "Sarah T.-Portrait Of a Teenage Alcoholic",in wich she as a girl that starts to drink undercover;and "Sweet Hostage",in wich she is kindnapped by a boy(Martin Sheen).
These movies are not much famous,but are very hard movies for a young actress as Linda.
In 1977 Linda reprised her role as Regan MacNeil in "Exorcist II-The Heretic",in wich teen Regan gets possessed again trough a machine for hypnosis. Then she starred in the movies "Summer Of Fear"(1978) and "Roller Boogie"(1979)**,one of my favourite movies ever.
But in 80s Linda acted also in movies prohibited to minors as "Chained Heat"(1983) and "Red Heat"(1985). Linda doesn't acted in funny movies,except for "Repossessed"(1990),"Up Your Alley(1989) and Zapped Again!"(1990). All the roles that she interpreted was difficult,but she made a great work. Today Linda Blair is an excellent activist for the association PETA and for her own foundation "The Linda Blair World Heart Foundation",for rescue and adoption of animals. I hate people who say that Linda wasn't an actress,but only a prodige child that believed to be Someone! I think she WAS SOMEONE! I am a huge Linda Blair fan,not only because she was(and is) an actress,but also 'cause she helps animals and humans(her association help also people!!)and she's a wonderful person.
