Some of you may remember me doing a series of articles called "The Beggining Of The End" for season three's final few episodes. This is season five's set of reviews, entitled Destiny Calls. For those of you who don't remember, it's a series of recaps and explanations and then things to tantalise you for the upcoming episode(s). Let us timeskip back to the season premiere.
Because You Left
"How did we get here? How did all of this happen?" "It happened because you left Jack."
For many casual Lost fans this episode revealed Marvin Candle's real name, and strangely showcased his child.
Is s/he perhaps someone we have seen before? Perhaps a strange asian man with an ability to detect the dead? We see Faraday (my favourite S4 character) either in the midst of a time jump or something else. Then back on the mainland we see the start of the return to The Island by Ben & the Oceanic Six. Season one slaps us in the face again on Island with the Beechcraft, Ethan and more of The Swan. We...

So everyone keeps asking that most hated question of all: Who will Kate be with? Now if your like me, your sick and tired of seeing this question all over the internet. Also if your like me, you never really cared about it in the first place because you realize their stupid love triangle is the farthest thing from the best part of show.
That being said, lets "solve" this mystery. First of all, strip away all feeling you have about this. It doesn't matter who you like better, or who you feel Kate's character is more inclined to. Instead lets look at things from a writers standpoint. Lets examine how stories are told.
First of all, the lead male will always end up with the lead female. This is untrue in the case of tragedies, but it should be clear that Lost is not written this way. So what does that mean? It means Jack and Kate will be together in the end.
Jack is also the "good guy" and Sawyer the "bad boy" - that much is clear. It is also age old storytelling (and in my opinion, real world fact) that girls are far more attracted to the "bad boy". However they tend to have their "fling" if you will, with the bad boy, then settle down with the...

Season five, here we come!

All right, so after watching "Jughead", I realize that we Lost fans have a lot to talk about!
(If you haven't seen "Because You Left, "The Lie" or "Jughead" yet, then please stop reading so I don't spoil it for you!)
All right, so I'm about to go on a Lost-rant? Ready? *Deep breath* Here we go:
This theory has been floating around for a while, so I thought I'd bring it to Fanpop and see what you guys thought: Sawyer stepped on that piece of bamboo (or whatever it was) in "The Lie". It was pretty big and dug into his foot pretty deep. People have speculated that because of this, Sawyer ends up getting a toe amputated. Could he be the one the Four-Toed Statue was made for? He has been awful heroic lately... (Saving Claire from her buring house? Jumping out of the chopper?) Could he become the few remaining castaways' saviour and they make a statue in honour of him?
I'm not sure how I feel about this theory... but I'm just throwing it out there :)
