This may seem confusing...
Lets say that all the Losties (Locke, Jack, Kate, Sawyer) where members of the Dharma in the past (as we have seen in a spoiler photo they are all dressed as them). Then lets say that the gas Ben used did not kill the Dharma but unstuck them in time causing their nose's to bleed when they got 'stuck' like Minkowski said 'I can't get back' maybe he didn't die but got stuck as his older self, so future him died but past him did not. Still with me.

So if the losties where Dharma perhaps they where send back in time or off the island or even forward in time. If you look at the pilot Jack wakes up in the jungle much like Ben does in 4x09 after teleporting and he also has a batton like thing next to him (Right of screen)

Notes:
Welcome back. Another season starts but unfortunately it is only 8 episodes long.

The title references Ben's line in the season three finale. He says to Jack, "Making that call is the beginning of the end."
This is the first season premiere that was not Jack-centric. It's also the first season premiere that didn't open with a shot of someone's eye.

The opening shot of the car crashing into the piled fruit is a humorous reference to season 1. The fruit is guava - the only food available to the Losties in their early days on the island. In season 1, Hurley -- out in the jungle for a 'bathroom trip' is searching for a large leaf. He runs into Jack and complains that eating all the Guava is killing his stomach.

At the beginning of the show you see Hurley driving alone in a vintage seventies Camero. This car has been shown before. Hurley and his dad were working on the car shortly before his father left him when he was a boy. Because the car is a rare classic, Jack immediately recognizes it and knows who is driving it. That is why you hear him curse when he sees it on TV.

For all of you who have the ability to watch again the pilot episode of Lost do it but pay a lot of attention this time. The first minutes actually show as the arrival of one of the Oceanic 6 (Jack) Back to the island.

Jack was seeting on the plane next to Rose and 2 rows in front of Locke. However Rose was found unconsiousness on the beach next to the plane parts as well as Locke. But what we see is Jack into the Jungle at a similar way like Ben when we wakes up in the middle of desert.

Jack wakes up starts running and he reaches the beach, then the camera makes a round, turning around Jack. No noises of chaos or broken enginees or even screemings are heard. Until the Camera reaces Jack again he seems a bit “dislocated” and then we start hearing noises.

So from the very begginig until that part what we actually see is Jack’s return to the Island! All the action we’ve watched so far and took place on the island and among losties actually starts from the point with the “camera turning around” trick).
