In the tradition of the "Nuts!" campaign that compelled CBS to resurrect Jericho by shipping hundreds of pounds of nuts to CBS's corporate offices, http://www.TheFanUnion.com has begun a movement targeted towards the networks and the AMPTP to urge them, through the nuisance of fan activism, to bring the strike to an end so our favorite show(s) can move forward.

Our plan is to have fans, as many as we can get, to mail the studio head of their choice a lovely, but very inexpensive, Roller Skate charm. A "Cheap Skate" for a bunch of Cheap Skates.

For this effort to work, we need to bring national attention to it. You can help by digging this article:

And of course telling fans everywhere to visit, sign up, and speak out at http://www.thefanunion.com.

My first glimpse of Lost
Sit down, shut up and strap yourselves in, as I am about to tell you a lengthy tale of one brave warrior of Hyrule (apparently) and his addiction to an Island.

A few years ago, I saw the David LaChapelle advert for Lost on YouTube and was intrigued by it. This was on a Saturday evening I believe and I saw a few other reports that had said Lost was going to be a good show, but didn't think much more about it.

Then I went along to our usual family car boot with about £20 in my pocket and looked at a few things as usual. Looked around the usual stalls and then a guy selling pirated DVDs was there, which was unusual, but as I was browsing his table I found that he had the first sixteen episodes of this strange Lost show. I enquired and he informed me it had already started to air in the US. Then I supported piracy a little with an exchange of monies and went about the rest of my day, not knowing how great the show would be.

here's the story line of William Shakespeare's The Tempest:

[I]The sorcerer Prospero, rightful Duke of Milan, and his daughter, Miranda, have been stranded for twelve years on an island, after Prospero's jealous brother Antonio—helped by Alonso, the King of Naples—deposed him and set him adrift with the three-year-old Miranda. Prospero secretly sought the help of Gonzalo and their small and shoddy boat had secretly been upgraded to be more than sea worthy, it had been supplied with plenty of food and water, it had an excellent library and contained surviving material in case the boat capsized. Possessed of magic powers due to his great learning and prodigious library, Prospero is reluctantly served by a spirit, Ariel whom he had rescued from imprisonment in a tree. Ariel was trapped therein by the African witch Sycorax, who had been exiled to the island years before and died prior to Prospero's arrival; Prospero maintains Ariel's loyalty by repeatedly promising to release the "airy spirit" from servitude, but continually defers that promise to a future date, namely at the end of the play. The witch's son Caliban, a deformed monster and the only non-spiritual...
