Matthew Perry to appear in the Lost season finale? Yeah, right Apr 10, 2009 at 03:39PM Source: TV SquadFiled under: Lost, Celebrities, Casting, Reality-Free There's an odd little rumor spreading around the internet today, that Friends star Matthew Perry will appear in the season finale of Lost. Is it true or not?Answer: very not. ABC and Perry's publicist says that there's no truth to the rumor whatsoever. Perry did express a desire to appear in the show, which he loves, but it's not going to happen. How did it start? Well, the IMDb is an awesome web site, but when you can join and pretty much add any info that you want, things like this are going to happen (see also: Wikipedia). His name is still up there though, playing a character named "George Hobbes." Continue reading Matthew Perry to appear in the Lost season finale? Yeah, right

Lost: Dead is Dead Apr 09, 2009 at 08:08AM Source: TV SquadFiled under: OpEd, Lost, Episode Reviews, Reality-Free
Wow, I'm not quite sure where to begin. This wasn't one of the best episodes of Lost (for lack of a better term, it was safe), but I walked away from it feeling enlightened. It's not often that Lost leaves you with more answers than questions. That being said, I still have a ton of f%#k&$g questions. Continue reading Lost: Dead is Dead

Here's a clip from tonight's Lost - VIDEO Apr 08, 2009 at 01:36PM Source: TV SquadFiled under: Lost, Video, Reality-Free SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER.When we last left our castaways on Lost, Ben had just woken up and seen that Locke was sitting next to his bed. Locke obviously has a ton of questions for Mr. Linus, such as "why did you strangle me to death," and Ben had a look of surprise on his face. So fans are wondering if Ben is shocked to find out that Locke is alive (because he was, you know, dead) or if Ben killed Locke knowing that he would come back to life some day (I just realized how crazy that sentence must sound to people who don't watch the show). Well, after the jump is a sneak peek at tonight's new episode, courtesy of Kristin over at E! (SPOILER!) Continue reading Here's a clip from tonight's Lost - VIDEO

Are you ready for The Fork in the Outlet? Apr 07, 2009 at 06:10PM Source: TV SquadFiled under: Lost, Reality-Free Remember a couple of weeks when we told you that Lost producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse and ABC were holding a contest for fans of the show to give the season finale a quirky name? Every season finale of the show has gone by a code name: season one had "The Bagel" and last season was "The Rattlesnake in the Mailbox." What will this season's finale be called? The winner has been revealed and it's ... "The Fork in the Outlet." Who knows if this will be literal (after all, what the heck does "The Bagel" have to do with the season one finale?), but I think we're in for something "shocking." I've never put a utensil in an electrical outlet before, but I did touch a light switch with wet hands once and got a jolt. Never again. I kinda like some of the entries that didn't win, especially "The Droids You're Looking For," and "The Fifth Toe." Maybe they should have named it "Scotty, Beam Me Up," to tie in with J.J. Abrams' new Star Trek flick, also in May.

The LOST Weekend Fan Party 2009 With Flashbacks Apr 04, 2009 at 09:15AM Source: Lost.comDuring the pre-party, I found myself talking to LOST fan Kerry. Even though she had recently dislocated her shoulder in a terrifying LOST Fan Party mishap, her enthusiasm regarding the upcoming arrival of our favorite writer, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, was not dampened. She spoke of the season 1 episode All The Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues written by Javi. We both agreed that the best scene in television history would have to be during that very episode when Jack valiantly tried to revive Charlie in spite of Kate's very emotional cries for him to stop because he's not.... The resolution is something that no one will ever forget. Her description of the scene was so moving that I found it difficult to answer. Shortly thereafter, LOST organizer Brigit asked me if I was having a good time. I'm having a blast! I replied. That's when I heard the whoosh sound and I stared into space. I was back in 2007 at the LOST Weekend pre-party speaking to LOST fan Carri from Maryland as she described her favorite LOST episode called Numbers. She talked about the scene where the French Lady agreed with Hurley that the numbers were indeed cursed. Hurley was so overcome that he gave her a big hug in spite of the fact that everyone else was still afraid of the rifle-toting French woman. Carri had the look of someone experiencing a guilty pleasure. It was a cat swallowed the canary sort of look and I understood exactly what she was feeling. Shortly thereafter, Brigit asked me if I was having a good time. Yeah... I'm having a blast! I replied. |

A question I have about last night's Lost Apr 02, 2009 at 01:25PM Source: TV SquadFiled under: OpEd, Lost, Watercooler Talk, Reality-Free Lost continues to impress me. I really do think it's one of the great TV dramas of all-time, and last night's episode was rock solid. Except for one thing I'm going to be nit-picky about.OK, so Sawyer and Kate bring young injured Ben to the Others so they can save him, and Richard tells them that, yeah, I can save him, but he won't remember what happened to him and he'll lose his innocence. Up until now we (and Hurley and Miles, in one of the episodes best scenes) were wondering why Ben didn't remember that Sayid shot him as a kid when he became an adult. And the writers quickly solve this by just having his memory erased? That seems really, really...lame. Continue reading A question I have about last night's Lost

Lost: Whatever Happened, Happened Apr 02, 2009 at 12:44AM Source: TV SquadFiled under: OpEd, Lost, Episode Reviews, Reality-Free
At the risk of sounding clichéd, I'm gonna say it anyway - all the pieces are coming together. While I didn't particularly care for any of tonight's flashbacks (personally, I've never really gotten into Kate at all), what happened on the island in 1977 was mesmerizing. It's looking more and more like the Oceanic 6 (plus Juliet, Miles, etc.) were directly responsible for, well ... everything. Continue reading Lost: Whatever Happened, Happened

Al Trautwig knows more about Lost than you do - VIDEOS Mar 27, 2009 at 07:02PM Source: TV SquadFiled under: Sports, Lost, Video, Celebrities, Reality-Free
For people that aren't huge sports fans, you'll probably remember Trautwig for his coverage during this past summer's Olympics. NBC used him for tons of stuff, including all of Anyway, when he isn't calling a game, Al Trautwig is a huge Lost junkie. Apparently someone at MSG Network caught on and now you can see all of Al's theories in a weekly video podcast. Continue reading Al Trautwig knows more about Lost than you do - VIDEOS
