I happen to be a looooong time fan of Marvel's Exiles and it conserns me that the book might be nearing the end .

What do I mean by this ? Here's some examples
1# the all star cast : this is done to attract readers
2# killing off long time members like Mimic and Morgh (sort of) .... another reason to attract readers
3# the current writter : Chris Claremont who invented the all new , all different , X-Men ... He's marvel's go to man for sinking ships .
4# ThunderBird is finaly brought back ... this might indicate the need to wrap things up.
5# the original opporactors of the Palice show up and want to take over the show . Another "wrapping of things up"

But what about the good things that are going on ?
1# Chris Claremont is a comic God !
2# Shadowcat and Psylock are on the team now !
3# see number 5 of the last list ... this could just be the next chapter of the Exiles !

My only real complant with how the books going so far is , Spiderman 2099 was paired with Gwen Stacy ??? and has now retired to some island where he's now a cook ??? I'm thinking Chris Claremont knows very little about 2099 .

How I think the book should go ?

Mimic and the real Morgh come back and Protius fights the Beyonder (a new version that acts and looks like Seth Green and Q from Star Trek just for the fun of it)
Get rid of long shot and bring back Nocturn!
The book needs a new counter team made up of Villians (Harry Osborn as Spiderman , evil Logan , Doom , ect.)
A Worlds war between realitys
A DC cross over
A Wildstorm cross over (Gen13 would be nice)

Lastly ...... Make mide Marvel !

Having only just gotten into Exiles I'll add my two cents. I'm pissed off. I got INTO the story because Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099) is a fantastic character, so either Claremont has big plans for a return down the line, or he's an f-wit for taking out one of the main characters who would entice new readers. I like Claremont, he's a great man, but the Exiles are one of the teams I don't like him near, Exiles aren't so much about being mutants as the rest and while that may be the reason the ship isn't as popular as other X-related titles, it certainly isn't reason to change what is a veery clever Quantum Leap-esque formula.
