TALK SHOW HOST BONNIE HUNT CONTINUES TO RAISES MONEY FOR CANCER WITH HER SECOND INSTALLMENT OF “BONNIE’S BASEMENT,” A SPECIAL AUCTION OF ONE-OF-KIND CELEBRITY ITEMS BEGINNING THURSDAY, JANUARY 15, ON BONNIEHUNT.COM

    (LOS ANGELES – January 15, 2009) – Talk show host Bonnie Hunt announced today on her talk show that the second installment of her website auction, “Bonnie’s Basement,” starts today on bonniehunt.com. The auction allows her viewers to bid on one-of-a-kind celebrity items to support the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University in Chicago where Bonnie used to work as an oncology nurse.

After raising over $100,000 for the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, Bonnie continued the fundraising efforts by holding an auction of celebrity items on her talk show’s website, bonniehunt.com. The auction raised an impressive $30,000. Bonnie’s celebrity guests continued to donate unique and meaningful items for her to continue her fundraising efforts.

Some of the celebrity items available for bidding include:

An Ovation guitar signed by Grammy and Academy Award-winner Melissa Etheridge;

“The Amazing Race” official Season 13 check-in mat signed by host Phil Keoghan;

NBC anchor Brian Williams personal Presidential Election Day press badges;

Volleyball signed by Chad Michael Murray and other “One Tree Hill” cast members;

Jensen Ackles’ signed director’s chair back and a “Supernatural” signed hockey jersey;

Hospital scrubs signed by the cast of “Grey’s Anatomy”;

Boxed Star Wars’ Princess Leia plastic bust and a copy of “Wishful Drinking” signed by Carrie Fisher.

The auction concludes on Sunday, January 25th at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

    From entertainment and pop culture to the news, Bonnie will talk with her audience and crew about anything and everything that’s on her mind. The top of the show is appointment television for viewers looking for a smart, funny, common sense reaction to the complicated world they live in.

    “The Bonnie Hunt Show” is produced by Bob & Alice Productions and paraMedia inc. in association with Telepictures Productions and is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
