Movies Question

On average, how much do actors get paid for movies?

I know it depends a lot, but say the movie made $1,000,000 at the box office, how much of that would go to the star?

this is very difficult to answer take the blair witch those actors only got 500 dollars and the movie made millions, actors get paid whether the movie is a flop or a blockbuster based on what they negotiatebut unless they are smart the box office sales usually go to the studio, the actors salary has already been added to the budget of the movie.

Honestly it depends on the Star, starting out actors can make $300 000, whereas someone like Brad Pitt can make up to $30 million a movie (maybe even more)

It depends on a lot of things.

If it's someone really famous and high demand they'll get millions for one movie. (Like for example Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Natalie Portman)

If the actor isn't famous or as high demand it will be in the thousands a lot of the time.

If the movie does really well they usually end up getting more.
So it really all depends.

It TOTALLY depends on how much you bring to the box office. If you are bankable at the box office, you make more money than say someone like....Eric Estrada. I've heard that Matt Damon is the MOST bankable for the males. I'm not sure if that's true.
