ok so prob like some other people ive really been interested in the cloverfield movie thats coming out ever since i found out about it a few months ago. ok so its out in a couple of days and like every other awesome movie thats coming out the trailer for it has been on constantly and this is where my problem lies. i know that trailers have to show certain gd bits of the film so that people get interested but it seems now more than ever that the trailer is actually showing all the main plot to the film and in case of some the end and this just ruins it i know not everyone will agree with me but i like to actually be suprised when i watch a movie and not know everything that is about to happen. surely they can make trailers that look gd without showing everything gd about the movie

hopefully other people will agree with me so i dont feel like an idiot :)

for those that have read this thank you and i hope i didnt waste ur time

I agree with you completely. I thought that I'd read a soapbox on this already someplace else on the site, but couldn't find it. Maybe I'll write one with what I think a trailer should have, to complement this one.

Incidentally, the Film Trailers spot would be a great place to have such a discussion.
