Who was the BETTER Mr.Darcy?

Pure brilliance! I actually hate the other one..... as mr darcy that is!!!

I voted for Matthew because he is much better than Colin as Mr Darcy.Colin's acting lacks nuances, he is icy from the beginnig till the end and you can barely see the change in his feelings.Matthew is more tortured , more sensitive, more romantic, more everything..no contest

I agree with darcylove in some aspects. I do like Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy, but Matthew is much more believable to me.

Actually both are very, very good. But concering to convey the book image, I think Colin looks more proud and so represents Darcy better.

But if I were Elizabeth to choose one Darcy from the two, I would like to have the honour to accept the hands of BOTH men, please?

mathew macfayden is a more believable mr. darcy....he looks so proud and snoody but then underneathe it all hes completely different and he portrays that very well in the movie aside keira knightely. <333

Colin Firth is more like the Darcy in the book- he keeps playing Mr Darcy as an icy charcter all the way through who slightly defrosts when Elizabeth starts to undestand his personality more. Didn't Elizabeth comment, to Mr Wickham, that Mr Darcy had improved upon her understanding him more but was in 'essentials he was just as he ever was.' !

MacFadyen is better for me anyway!!))maybe because I've seen 2005 version first

Colin rocked as Darcy! He was everything was and is! Much more subtle than McFayden's Darcy that was just dismal.

samjhart, McFayden was anytning but dismal! he was so shy and had a fancy for Lizzy from the very beginning!!

I agree with samjhart. Colin Firth was a much more subtle version of Mr Darcy and that is how I always imagined him.

Matthew IS Mr. Darcy. He was great!

Matthew is handsome, yes. But Colin Firth to. More than he i think :D And he realy great actor but Matthew... Not that much i think =)

he was the same mr.darcy in my mind! i coulndnt believe that some one can be the exact mr.darcy as was in my mind! the same face... same character ...same moves...& same personality!
