Omg no way! Ive loved loved LOVED Muse since 2005 and I only read twilight this year, and I think thats true of a lot of people.

I understand if you dont like twilight thats fine but you dont have to be rude. Twilight fans dont come on here and say muse needs to die!

No offence but I cant imagine it impinges on your life that much, you obviously dont have very much to worry about if your so sick of this small thing...

As I said on the twilight forum which I noticed is gone all of a sudden, how coincidental after we started to prove you didnt really have a point, that everyone is influenced to like a band from somewhere. You may hear about a band from a friend, from the radio, or in this case, from a movie, what is the problem?

Everyone is entitled to like a band, just because you or me think we liked them before someone else doesnt mean you own them or have a claim to them over someone else.

More fans means more tours and more concerts, I would think a true muse fan would see that and be happy about the increased support for your favourite band....

Seriously, I totally agree with you... I was listening to Muse BEFORE I heard about Twilight for the first time. I'm a HUGE Muse fan and now because of that awful movie I'm ashamed to listen Supermassive Blackhole cause it remember me this movie... :( I hope they'll never use a other muse's song in these movies...

As a matter of fact I discovered Muse in my local record store long before I had an interest in Twilight. But I love both the band AND Twilight. I was rapt that two of my favourite bands, Muse and Linkin Park, featured in the movie, even though Linkin Park only plays during the end credits. And the author said Muse was her inspiration. Surely you can't begrudge that. There's no need to be "precious" about your pre-Twilight fan status. You should be pleased that Muse have increased their fan base.

People who only like Muse because of Twilight will not be fans for long. But those who discovered Muse because of Twilight, and who really appreciate them,are no less a true Muse fan than any other fan.

I had no interest about Muse before I heard Supermasive Blackhole on Twilight soundtrack.I liked it so much that I started listening to other songs of Muse not just that one "because it was on Twilight".

OK I HAVE TO TOTALLY DISAGREE im a twilight fan but i knew bout muse before twilight and i was HAPPY when i found out that they were gonna play in the film...but i have to agree i dont like supermassive black hole but for a diffrent reason...it reminds me to much of twilight wen i listen to it!!but im a muse lover and thats all that matters so...my fav song is take a bow:))but i dont like that u hate twilight!!have u even read the book???

I was a MUSE fan way before this stupid movie. I feel your pain! That movie needs to burn... Sparkly vampires!?!?!?!?! COME ON! I think that was the most idiotic choice to make a vampire with glitter on them... They ruined the appearance of the original vampires.... sigh. Then they decide to MUSE in the movie which now everyone adores just because of the freakn' movie.

I like both Muse and Twilight!!
Muse was my favorite band way before I even heard about Twilight, I actually started reading twilight because of my curiosity around all the commotion and because Stephanie Meyer said that they inspired her...
I love the books but I don't mind if people don't like the book.... but if the book made people started to listen to Muse and give everyone that didn't know muse a little real musical culture I'm more than happy that they are associated =D

I am not a fan of muse just because it was used in twilight. They are the gods of music. I love starlight yeah.

Ok so the 2 questions were involved with stupid twilightfans and why the hell are they in that movie? here is my opinion:

I've known Muse for over years! and yeah its stupid that those overreacting twilight fans all of the sudden 'love' muse and paramore (which I also already knew a year before twilight came out).

But muse and paramoce decided themselfs to play in the movie,, it was their own choice, right? So if they thought it was ok, to be in that movie... why should we bother?

and to all those stupid overreacting twilight fans: they should jog on! love the movie,, but loving a band because they are in that movie is just kinda sad..

NO! I've known them even before twilight came out. Muse is an awesome band! I love muse! I am a twilight fan though.

A started listening to Muse way before Twilight. Actually I heard them first in a TV commercial in Hungary and after that I started to search the internet to find out: what was that song. It turned out it was Map of the Problematique. It's still my favourite song from the band.

And I like Twilight. Really. But the Saga is not my favourite.

And I think that music is one of the most greatest wonders in the world. So for me it doesn't matter if somebody likes a music because of a book or movie.

Well buhu, you guys didn't like twilight. So what? Stephenie Meyer liked Muse, she wanted it to be in the movie. But if you guys are REAL muse fans, then it shouldent make you stop listening just because it were in a movie you disliked. Be happy for the bands sake, if putting the song in the movie got them more fans. That's a good thing. PR. Personally I like twilight, and I like Muse too. What's the big deal?

Are you kidding me? Of course not!!!!!!!!! I know there are many Muse fans who listen to them just because of Twilight, and i think on one side, it's awful, but on the other side the fans become more and more and Twilight is one of the main causes. Their music is not for all kinds of people, just for the best and smartest... hi hi hi....

ive heard muse for 5 years and i discover them on mtv and then it came twiligh iwas like well idont care ill see the movie later but then i heard that muse was on the movie,OMG its not big deal.true the movie sucks it would have been better if the movie was like the book MUSE woulve sound better cause itll fitt a lot better .l like the twilight saga in books not da movie and i absolute adore muse and fuck those that say the contrary.there goes my mom.....

I haven't seen the movie Twilight yet, and do not plan on doing it soon. I've been a fan of Muse since 2003 when I went through a serious bad patch in my life, and Muse is really all I wanted to listen to. I guess it sounds lame, but during that part of my life I had to get up or stay down. Muse's music is described as sad by people who hear it for the first time, and could not understand why I kept on listening to it when I was in my depressed state. For me it has a lot of meaning and since then I've collected every album I could find. Muse you rock!

ive loved muse for like ever ! to be honest i didnt even want them in the twilight soundtrack - twilight is publicized soo tackily ( no offence but action dolls) but yeah im hoping it wont have an effect on my fav band . Still love those twi books!

I don't understand how an apparent huge fan of Muse would want the band to LOSE fans. I don't like Twilight and I've always loved Muse. But I'm happy that they've gained more popularity through a franchise as big as Twilight. The fact that fans might have discovered Muse through watching Twilight doesn't degrade the band through association or the fans for liking Muse.

HOW someone became a fan shouldn't be an issue at all. All that matters is that they are, that the movie has rocketed their popularity (even if you did like them before Twilight like most of us have you have to accept that it's only benefitted the band) and that now they're bigger than ever. So what if they become a fan after seeing the movie? This absurd idea that someone isn't worthy to like something because they have different taste to others needs to stop. It's just ridiculous and completely pointless.

So I'm grateful for Twilight using their music (even if I like Muse a million times more than I do Twilight). Plus the scene where Supermassive Blackhole is used is definitely the best scene in the entire movie.

No way! I may like twilight, but, I've been a muse fan for AGGGEEESSS before twilight came out! I'm sick of all the people who claim to be muse fans but only like one song, like super massive black hole (<3) because it was on the twilight soundtrack!
