rattle snakes

I have alway heard that while out camping you sleep on the ground and if you do not weant a rattle snake crawl into you sleeping put a grass rope aroud you sleeping bag.i have been to chicken to try it so will the mythbusters try it and till me if its a myth are fact. thanks
