** Here are my ten reasons why Jeyton should make a comeback. And let John Mayer's song "Back to you" play in your head as you go about. ** 10:They had known each other for a long time, passing each other in the halls, seeing each other at the school basketball games. Jake and Peyton were not always the way they are now. He was the mysterious guy who always had to leave basketball practice early, and she was a moody artist who was into Lucas. But one meeting changed all of that. 9: Jake Jagielski is mature and nurturing, taking his responsibility as a single father and bearing the burden and joys of it. Peyton, as I remembered correctly, admired him for that and offered her support. Now at first, I thought this a start of a friendship a lonely person like Peyton could benefit from but I saw the instant hit of chemistry the moment they locked eyes. 8: After a while, well, wait a sec, it wasn't "love at first sight." It was more of a developmental kind of love, one that's slowly creeps into you and gradually blooms and deepens into something real than any fatal attraction that blows and fades as soon as it gathers. Jake and Peyton started as friends who listened to each other and sooner their friendship opened for a better door. 7: Jake can take care of Peyton and handle her issues logically. Jake has this certain kind of comfort in him that stops Peyton from hiding and running away. He allows her to see silver linings when she least expects it. He never cornered her or forced her to be with him. He just stayed and kept everything all right. 6: Peyton is a whole kind of different when she's with him, probably the BEST PERSON she ever was. Real love can do that to you sometimes. Even to someone as dark and tortured as Peyton. She smiled more. She appreciated the small good things in her life more. And she felt assured that Jake is a solid ground that can catch her. 5: Peyton and Jake's first kiss. He told her the reason why she came back was to be with her. It wasn't a big, public kiss but it was simple and sincere and that's why he won Peyton from then on. JAKE: You know um, I wasn't entirely honest with you before... PEYTON: About what? JAKE: The reason I came back-- PEYTON: You said you were tired of running. JAKE: Yeah, but that's not the only reason. You see the whole time I was gone I kept thinking about all this stuff that I should have done when I had the chance, but didn't. PEYTON: Like what kind of stuff? JAKE: I don't know,( he pauses) mostly being with you-- * he kisses her, their first kiss. It was long and intimate, and when they pulled apart* PEYTON: Wow. JAKE: Yeah. 4: The first time they made love. It came out of the blue but actually, the build-up was perfect. With Jake, Peyton didn't seem to pretend this relationship to be more than it is, as she usually tends to do. As they lay there, it was as if the world and everything in it conspired to bring them together at that perfect time. 3: When he left her due to his own problems of custody with Jenny, he made sure he has to come back for her because, as expected, Peyton self-destructed and the one person who saved her, made sure she won't do something like taking cocaine again, is Jake. He took her and consoled her, allowed her to discover herself the right thing to do and that crying won't help her make the right choice. He taught her to grow emotionally and to believe that even by herself, she can make things better. 2: Peyton's relationship with Jenny, Jake's daughter. She was so amazingly beautiful when she cares for this baby and you can see that a person whose been accused by many to be so neurotic and moody can be so caring and capable of giving it exclusively and unconditionally. She fought for the little girl's welfare and learned to put herself out there and forget that for once, this isn't just about her. Peyton's greatest moment is with Jake and Jenny. 1: And finally, as Peyton stated: "Yes, losing your heart's desire is tragic. But gaining your heart's desire? That's all you can hope for. This year I wished for love... to immerse myself in someone else and to wake a heart long afraid to feel. My wish was granted. And if having that is tragic, then give me tragedy. Because I wouldn't give it back for the world." They talked about each other in their videos, proclaiming that they are each other's happiness and maybe they planned to watch those videos ten years after they're still together. ....and "someday" they might just be.
