A Modern Euthyphro: What Is A Sin? 

I think that sin would fall under a theistic view of morality and is measurable or definitive based on a rather doctrinal system of religion... a violation of some higher being's will or command. Of course, some would say that there's a cliche about sinning against humanity, could just be a saying or it could be traced to a certain dominant faith.
