Why Your Camera Does Not Matter External Link

Why is it that with over 60 years of improvements in cameras, lens sharpness and film grain, resolution and dynamic range that no one has been able to equal what Ansel Adams did back in the 1940s? Ansel didn't even have Photoshop!

A certain eye and translational emotional impact certainly play into making an awesome photo, but I disagree with the title of this post, as no digital photography or any photo equipment equals the large camera Ansel Adams used. Nevertheless, others with the same camera did not produce the same pieces, but the camera does matter.
