Real world bullying: we see it everywhere
|
We all remember it, though we say we don't. Those in school still see it everyday, maybe are victims, or even perpetrators, of it. In workplaces, schools, colleges, sports organisations- this happens in all walks of life, for all manner of reasons.
I am, of course, talking about bullying. We've heard the stories of teens driven to suicide by bullies, people forced out of jobs by abusive employers, coaches victimising players. Tragic stories, definitely.
This is not the bullying I am talking about today. We move, for this soapbox, from the real world to the cyber world. Today, we talk about Cyber-Bullying.
The Interweb. A fantastic resource for all things bright and beautiful, a wealth of knowledge at the touch of a button, a place where one can literally find everything and the kitchen sink.
Most people use the Internet at least once a week. Others use it more, as several Fanpoppers can attest to. Its great, watching videos and speaking your mind.

As amazondebs said before, the "all" option can get annoying at times, but it's okay to add it if you are actually losing your mind trying to choose.
But if there is a choice missing that really should be there, even if you aren't going to pick it, you should add it anyways. i. e., "Who's your favorite office character?" If the "Kelly" option is missing, even if you like Jim, add Kelly anyways. You don't have to pick Kelly.
And something else pointed out in Deb's forum, combination options can be annoying too. If you can't decide between Jim and Pam, choose one randomly and say in the comments that you can't decide.
Another problem, when you do a pick, if you see the option "Pantera", don't add "PANTERA!!!!!!" as an option. I've seen this happen plenty of times in the metal spots and it gets annoying.
And when you add an answer that is just another answer worded differently, it gets on people's nerves. i.e., "What is your favorite kind of music?". If it says things like "Rap/Pop" or "Rock/Metal", don't add "Metal!", because they are probably just referring to the MAIN genre of the music. Also, if it says what kind of music,...

I know this has been said before, but it has been bothering me for a long time, and when something builds up I have to get it out somehow :D
Let me start by saying that I love when people add answers to the picks I make...It's awesome that we have that option because often times I forget an answer, or someone comes up with something more creative, etc...
But, there are a few things that I've been noticing about adding answers for a while, and I wanted to put it out there.
I understand that the point of a pick is, well, to pick something. Therefore it's a bit annoying when someone adds an answer like:
1. I Don't Know
2. Both/All
3. I Don't Care
4. Neither/None
5. I Can't Decided
6. Inappropriate Answers
(I have seen all of these option added to picks)
1. This one irritates me the most. If you don't know then don't pick anything! It's not necessary to answer every single pick.
