As amazondebs said before, the "all" option can get annoying at times, but it's okay to add it if you are actually losing your mind trying to choose.

But if there is a choice missing that really should be there, even if you aren't going to pick it, you should add it anyways. i. e., "Who's your favorite office character?" If the "Kelly" option is missing, even if you like Jim, add Kelly anyways. You don't have to pick Kelly.

And something else pointed out in Deb's forum, combination options can be annoying too. If you can't decide between Jim and Pam, choose one randomly and say in the comments that you can't decide.

Another problem, when you do a pick, if you see the option "Pantera", don't add "PANTERA!!!!!!" as an option. I've seen this happen plenty of times in the metal spots and it gets annoying.

And when you add an answer that is just another answer worded differently, it gets on people's nerves. i.e., "What is your favorite kind of music?". If it says things like "Rap/Pop" or "Rock/Metal", don't add "Metal!", because they are probably just referring to the MAIN genre of the music. Also, if it says what kind of music, don't add options like "AC-DC". Just say what your favorite metal band is in the comments.

Also, it may seem annoying when someone adds a question like "Out of my favorite songs, which do you like?" but when you see one don't add one of your favorite songs, either pick what they have there, or ignore it.

And when someone uses internet slang on a pick, don't add things like "I refuse to answer this pick due to the use of internet slang". Sometimes it can hurt people's feelings.

And most of all, don't make questions that are mean to other Fanpop users. Post one about yourself if you want, but I'm sure we all remember the last mean pick about someone else. Internet bullying is not a good thing

I'm not saying you have to do all of this, I'm just saying I believe it would help bring all the fun back to making and answering picks.

although i disagree with adding the all option when you can't chose, (i think you should either comment or go on to the next pick) there are some brilliant points in this article, well said, straight to the point!
and i really agree about not adding the 'i refuse to answer this pick....' option because it has nothing to do with pick, you can easily express you feelings about grammar or such in a comment

whos pantera and why is he/she not a option?

I agree with most of your points (although I pretty much think it's never acceptable to add "all of the above").

And I've always found it humorously ironic and a tad bit pathetic that people will answer a pick by saying that they refuse to answer.

Exactly what I mean.

And deb, Pantera is a metal band and I mean when it's an option and they just add it in caps

Very good points, in general. One I disagree with though is #5 - people may add "metal" instead of chosing "rock/metal" because they don't really like rock, but just like metal. I think that that is acceptable.

yes but the question was reffering to if you like any of the genres included in the option

Never add 'All.'

If you cannot make up your mind, then don't answer the pick.

I totally agree with you! Except picks like "Out of my favourite...", I really like them =P

Ohh also when someone says for example "Out of these two animals which one do you prefer" If the answers are "Dog" and "Cat" don’t add "Horse"! It annoys me a little bit, it’s suppose to be only out of those two…! =/
