Music by Alan Menkin & Stephen Schwartz who also did music for The Hunchback of Norte Dame & Enchanted ,Pocahontas is based on real events and it is Disney's 33rd feature length movie about a native indian who falls for an english sailor who arrives in Virgina in order to find gold for Radcliff (the Vilian in the movie).Meanwhile Pocahuntas's father the Chief powhatan wants her to marry Kocumn . Pocahontas does not want this marriage, and asks the advice from a talking tree spirit named Grandmother Willow. Grandmother Willow tells Pocahontas to listen to her heart.
I personally liked this film as it was based on a true story and the relationship between Pocahuntas & John Smith is very powerful and affectionate as they begin to fall for each other . The music is brillant Jon Secada ft Shanice song at the end of the movie and Colours of the Wind by Vannesa Williams(Ugly Betty who could have imagined that she was a singer back in the good old days) . This film is very warm-herted and breathtaking and its a kind of film that you would watch again and again. Also Mel Gibson who voices John Smith also provides the singing voice too .wow he was brill.
