The Play

Act2liv posted on May 17, 2008 at 02:24PM
My High school just recently did Pride and Prejudice back in March and it was fabulous. I was afraid that it wouldn't turn out right and we would ruin a classic but it was amazing! All the characters when they didn't have a line they would talk in third person to narrate the story, and the characters' inner thoughts. The stage was set up so there was risers ON both sides of the stage, where the audience sat. So they sat on the stage so the actors wouldn't have to project, losing the intimacy of the story.

Wow that sounds really cool! Did you have a part? You know I've never heard of a play version of P&P--where did it come from?

I built the risers for the stageing and helped with run crew.
