the show is hilarious and thats the best part of course! but think about the serious moments (aka: VERY close talking) they are some of the best. a little more of that would go a long way

I love the humor of the show... I just think that the few moments that are serious really make you care about the characters. There was one episode where Shawn and his dad were arguing about Shawn and his motorcycle and it was serious and you realized how much his dad cared for him and it was kind of touching. There really need to be more moments like that. By no means do I want it to become a drama, though.

i like the serious moments. it adds depth and makes me care more for the characters =) i think the only semi-serious episode i've seen so far is the season 1 finale, but the seriousness and humor mixed so well that it made for an excellent episode =)

There's too many serious shows. It's great how it is now: really funny with the occasional bit of seriousness.

not all the time.....

funney makes me crack up and makes my friends and I just fall out of our chairs. i like that. they should keep the amount of more and add a little bit more depth. but don't lose the funney!

Exactly, just a tiny bit more depth. They've already done it in a couple episodes, as mentioned above, just for a scene. But if they could do that 3 or 4 times per season instead of once or twice, that'd be awesome. And they don't have to lose the funny at all! "very close talking," for example, was funny and serious at the same time.

i think there should be some serious moments here and there. if its always joke after joke after joke, the show might become shallow because there is no depth to the characters

I wouldn't mind a LITTLE more seriousness at times. I mean, it wouldn't be BAD or anything. I just love the show for the humor. <3

Not serious...Just less freaking hilarious. And not FULL episodes. Just scenes. Like his mom coming back was perfect. No more dramatic than that, please!

Its great how it is, my favorite show, but as maggiejuliet said, really close talking and the part in murder? anyone? anyone? Bueller? are great and there should deff be more every once n a while of course.

I like it when shawn pretends to be serious but is really mocking the conversation he's having. I think it's hilarious.

I think its already an interesting show. So giving more seriousness means the fans loose their interest from this show.
