This is a CALL to ACTION!
The 1960 Alfred Hitchcock movie was filmed primarily in Phoenix, AZ. The primary two buildings focused on were the 1914 Luhr's towers and the 1926 Security Building.
The Phoenix city council has chosen to allow a California developer to tear down the 1914 Luhr's building, citing that it has no historical or architectural significance.
IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE ORIGINAL PSYCHO YOU ARE ABOUT TO LOSE THE VERY BUILDING THIS MOVIE WAS CENTERED AROUND TO A DEVELOPER!!
I think this is a travesty, but very typical of Phoenix to take such a naive and destructive stance.

SPREAD THE WORD THAT PHOENIX IS TEARING DOWN A LANDMARK BUILDING AND SHOULD BE STOPPED.
I'm hoping someone with some power will see this and help start a movement to save this structure from being razed. I'm trying to post this information on all of the Psycho fan club sites that I can find.
HOPE YOU WILL DO THE SAME AND CREATE NATIONAL AWARENESS!
