And when this happens, we are all supposed to be sucked into a Blackhole... also not true, as we have Solstice days every year. But the Mayas didn't believe in endings. They believed that the concept of time was circular, that the end was the beginning of something new, that after the end of their calendar marked day 1 of a new age of love and wisdom and peace. And this is what i am hoping for. |

Well, I believe the idea came up because that's when the Aztec or Mayan calender ends, and they've actually been pretty accurate about some events that have happened in the past.
Nonetheless, no, I do not believe the world will end in 2012. I believe that no one knows when the world will end. But I do believe it will be in the current generation's lifetime. |

I dont think it will in 2012 but scientifically the sun is a star and there is a life cycle of a star......So its one of the larger ones and so when it gets close to dieing(some scientists say around 100 years from now) the sun will envolpe the earth lol but i dont think its anytime soon :P

No. The world ending in 2012 may be a good topic for a movie, but the world will not end in 2012. It may, but only if God decides to end it. Personally , i don't think they should have made the movie , anyway , because people are all freaked out now about it ending, and everybody dying. So people who are like that, just chill. Calm down. Even if the world does end, it'll be alright. It's the Lord's will, and if we die, we may go to a better place (if we go to heaven... we might go, you know... down.)
