Just plaln annoying!!

Hi there fanpoppers =) So I was thinking about some of the things that drive me mad, pet peeves and all that, and I happened to open an chain mail form a friend with these things on, and they all fit me perfectly!! I also added some more that I came up with too, hope you enjoy!
1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the heck is yours? Do I point at my butt when I ask where the toilet is?
2. People who are willing to get off their butt to search the entire room for the T.V. remote because they refuse to walk to the T.V. and change the channel manually.
3. When people say 'Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too'. You're darn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?
4. When people say 'it's
always the last place you look'. Of course it is. Why the heck would you keep looking
after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they?
5. When people say while watching a film 'did you see that?'. No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the stupid floor.
6. People who ask 'Can I ask
you a question?'.... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?
7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn't be new.
8. When people say 'life is short'. What the heck?? Life is the longest freaking thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?
9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks 'Has the bus come yet?'. If the bus came would I be standing here, dumbbutt?
10. People saying "Don't worry, its just a game!" Of course it's a game, that doesn't mean I turn up to lose every week!!
I'm sure I can think of some more, but then I would end up annoying myself more!! So I hope you enjoyed these :)

I disagree with some of the things you've pointed out. But others are spot on. For example -
number 3: It's a metaphor/expression. I know that you're taking it at a litteral angle, but ....
number 5: some things happen to quickly. I've had that happen to me. My brother said "Did you see that?" I said no, and he had to explain it to me. (Or it was something foreshadow-able)
number 9: I've had to do that. Our bus driver is crazy! We never know whens she's coming.
Everything else, I can agree with you on.
Thanks for your insights, too. I do see your points too. But people asking me if I just saw that person being shot at a movie, that would bug me. Or if you had a bus stop full of people waiting and someone asks if the bus comes, ditto. I suppose I was just thinking of them on a larger scale.
And yes...these things annoy me to no end...well maybe with the exception of the first one which is just quite frankly plain hilarious! =D

Here's one of my pet hates:
Being woken up on the phone by friends, and after they've yakked for half an hour they say: "okay, I'll let you get back to sleep then." Yeah right!
