I personally say no. I did see Madonna drowning in tears in an interview about the King of Pop and that his music will 'live on in our heart'(I agree), but I still say no. When Elvis died, a part of the world died.

What are your opinions? xD

Not really. Part of the world died when Elvis died. Same might happen with Micheal Jackson.

Well, in my country if you ask for Elvis to the people they'll just look at your face and have no idea who you're talking about. But if you ask about Micheal Jackson, everyone knows him.. His fame is huge and absolutely his unfortunate death is going to make much more impact on all over the world..
Rest in peace MJ.

i would say that they are about the same impact.
michael jackson rocked this world in the 20th century, i'm sure most people remember staying up so late to watch thriller for the first time back in the 80's.
it is such a shame how he was in this 21st century, with all that done to his face and drugs and what have you. he was in quite a bad way in the end.
the death still hasn't quite sunk in yet.

I think no. MJ's death is upsetting and it will create an uproar. When Elvis died, the world died with it. Who knows if that will happen with MJ's death. Either way, they were both kings, and aren't with us anymore.

r.i.p. MJ

I still remember being a kid and listening to old record of him and then in then being in the car and her quizing me on him.
A radio station in my home town even had an Elvis Hour once a month and played his stuff frequently.

Uh yes. I cared or knew nothing about Elvis and still don't. I grew up with Michael as did a lot of others much more so than Michael. It's already having a great impact.
