Marian was fabulous, fun and everyone fell in love with her, she was daring and indapendant. And the love triangle made very good entertainment. Kate is so, dull in comparison. Plus I don't like that Much, Allan and Robin all liked her. She seemed so clingy.

No one beats Marian! Lucy Griffiths did an amazing job...I was soo upset when she left...I even stopped watching the show, but I had loved it so much that I missed it and started watching the third season and I gotta say that I just did NOT like Kate, I couldn't she actually really annoys me...So yes I think Kate is pretty plain even if Marian had never been there she still would have been plain. Marian was my favourite and the whole love triangle made the show that much better, when they killed her...Well lets just say it didnt really seem like "Robin hood" anymore...

i like kate but i dont think they made the right decision to replace marian with kate. marian is a briliant character to play and lucy made it her own. kate was clingy thinking robin fancied isabella and marian would have no doubt about robin's feelings

lol...As bitchy and quasi-evil as Isabella was, I still prefer her to Kate.
I always felt like Kate was kind of the 'token' female of season 3, she really didn't add anything and had absolutely no chemistry with Robin.
